Waking up an hour later, very aware of the body pressed against your back and the arm wrapped possessively around your waist, you winced. The promise you'd made yourself that you wouldn't start anything with Bucky with exception of sharing your pup together had apparently been useless. It had taken only minutes after Bucky showed up before it shattered.

Sighing, you started to shift away only to find yourself yanked back against his body as he growled. "Stay."

You felt yourself growing wet and gritting your teeth you tried to ignore the way your body craved him. Then you found yourself on your back, and he was filling you in a way that made you whimper in pleasure.

His eyes were glittering as he looked down at you, his hips rolling slowly. In contrast to the frantic brutality of before this was almost lazy. You struggled, wanting to get back on footing where you felt more in control. But then he leaned down, his lips gliding against yours. The kiss was slow, lingering and full of a sweetness you had no defense against.

You came on a slow rolling wave of pleasure, Bucky's mouth feather across your jaw and down your neck. With a suddenness that had you squeaking in surprise, he rolled to his back pushing you, so you were sitting up. His hand glided back down your chest, the metal fingers leaving goosebumps in their wake. Those eyes you'd never been able to forget studied you, seeming to drink you in. Pushing at your hips until you gave in and rocked them, a low sound of satisfaction in his throat when you did.

Fingers ghosted up your body before trailing back down. When they pressed against your clit as your hips rocked, your head fell back. Bucky watched you lose yourself in it, bit by bit until sweat dewed your skin and you fell apart around him.

As your body relaxed, he pulled you down against his chest, fingers tangling in your hair to drag your mouth back to his. You didn't hesitate to open for him, Bucky's tongue sliding in to dance with yours as he thrust his hips up into you.

He swallowed your moans, rolling you under him, his mouth leaving yours to scrape teeth over your neck. Nibbling and sucking your skin as you arched into him. You unraveled slowly, fraying apart at the edges until you were crying out his name. While you were still quaking from it, clinging to him, he let out a soft grunt, knotting you and releasing into you with hard throbs.

Bucky pressed his face into your neck, inhaling your scent before he rubbed his face over you. He braced himself on his elbows, keeping the majority of his weight of you. Rolling to his side with you, he rested his head on his elbow and studied your face. You had closed your eyes, not wanting to look into those intense blue eyes.

Because of this, you jerked in surprise when his thumb rubbed gently across your cheek. Blinking your eyes open, you found him nearly nose to nose with you, his eyes heavy and satisfied. When you focused on him. he closed the short distance to kiss you hand framing your face. You pulled away, tucking yourself against his chest settling down to wait until his knot went down.

The sound of the shower woke him. Blinking, he stared at the ceiling for a moment before he leaned up on his elbows and looked around. The room was bright with sunlight, you must have opened the windows as he slept. The curtains shimmied with the wind. Rolling out of the bed, he bent down and pulled his pants back on. Curious, he moved around your neat and pretty room.

Bookshelves full of books, knickknacks here and there. Some of them clearly having been made by a child, and he wondered if his pup had made them. Bucky was standing in front of your dresser, turning over a small blown glass flower. His eyes darted up at the movement in the mirror.

Turning around, he found you standing in the doorway, an oversized robe nearly swallowing your frame. Your hair was still dripping, the water heightening your scent more than normal. Bucky felt himself twitch in response. Swallowing thickly, he set the flower back down on the dresser.

"You should probably go wait for me in the living room. Emily and Autumn will be home soon."

Nodding, Bucky pulled his shirt over his head, not missing the way that your eyes had dropped to his chest before you turned away. Running his fingers through his hair he left your room and went to the kitchen. You had told him to wait in the living room, but before the two of you got sidetracked you had been making tea. Bucky figured you'd still want some.

"What are you doing?"

Bucky looked up from where he was transferring the boiling water to a pretty, little teapot. "I figured you would want tea."

A feeling of something that you didn't want to examine welled up inside of you. To avoid it, you turned away from where he was setting things on to a tray, moving back over to the pantry to grab the box of tea that started this whole thing.

When you turned back, he was looking at you, the look in his eyes curious as he tracked your movements across the kitchen. You took over the preparation, picked up the tray and walked towards the living room. Bucky trailed after you, sitting down on the other end of the couch.

"Is Autumn old enough to be in school?" Bucky asked.

"She attends a pup socialization school," you replied, your finger tracing around the rim of your cup, eyes staring into the dark liquid inside of it.

"Oh, those are a thing?"

"Things are a bit different than I imagine they were when you were a pup."

Bucky snorted, knowing you were right. Putting that aside for the moment he said, "Look, I uh, came over here because—"

He trailed off, not exactly sure what he was going to say. He wanted his girls; you and the pup both. But you'd been alone for all this time. You set your cup down, your hands folding into your lap.

"I'm not going to stop you from being a part of Autumn's life. Not if you want to be a part of it."

"I do want to—"

You held up your hand, not finished. "But, if you are, you stay a part of it. I won't have you waltzing in and out of her life like some—"

"Doll, there's nothing I want more than you and our pup. I'm in it for the long haul."

Something flickered in your eyes, and you looked away from him. "There isn't going to be anything between us. Nothing more than our shared pup."

"What?"

You stood up, having heard Emily's car in the driveway. "You can stay here for now; I have to explain some things to Autumn before she meets you."

Bucky watched you walk away, his eyebrows pulled in as he considered the meaning of your words. It seemed like you were saying you didn't want him as a mate. But he knew that you felt as much of a pull to him as he felt to you. Why would you deny that?
