~Jacob's POV

It's been three days since Jasmine and I had spoken to each other, not after what I told her... Well if you consider 'hi' and 'hey' speaking, then we have. But other than that, no. No smiles, no hugs, no nothing. My mind has been heavily focused on it and I can tell she's been thinking about it too just by the way she looks at me when we pass each other in the hall. It's kinda my fault because I'm the one who lied. But I just couldn't tell her at that moment. I didn't know how... So the only way was to tell her some of the truth. And that's what I did.

"Manny," Lanai called, caressing my cheek in worry as she noticed my gaze. "You ok?" Emmanuel's my middle name so she calls me Manny for short.

"Yeah I'm good baby" I said giving her an assuring smile. "Just thinking."

"About what?" She asked curiously.

"You," I lied, smirking.

She smiled. "I love you."

"I love you too." And it was true, I love Lanai. I know I may not show it like I should and it may seem like I treat Jasmine better but I never felt this way about someone before. She makes me feel like I have a middle school crush again. Happy but nervous. Heart racing and stomach all jittery. I used to choke up my words and stutter too but now I'm straight. (I personally think I stopped because my voice got way sexier over the years but that's just me.) Plus Lanai brings out my vulnerable side and it's like I can never say no to anything. Who cares though? That's my babygirl.

"So where you wanna go, " I asked since we had plans.

"Umm how about Bowling?" She requested.

I looked at her like she was crazy. "Nai, you know you can't bowl for shit." She punched my shoulder while I just laughed. "Im sorry but you know it's true."

She squinted her eyes. "Whatever you jerk."

"Love ju too," I said humerously trying to make her laugh but she didnt even crack a smile so I gave up. "Well how about the movies?" I didn't really know what was playing but we could still see.

"What is there to even watch?" I shrugged. "So why the fuck would we go to the movies."

I raised my eyebrows. "Ooo my baby's feisty I see," I joked. "And she looks sexy when she is." I licked my lips and ran my fingers through my 'fro.

I saw her blush a little but she tried to hide it. "I guess."

My mouth dropped open as I pretended to hurt. "Rude..I dont get a thank you?"

She giggled. "Thanks Manny."

I smiled proudly. "Ju welcome Lanai." She just shook her head.

"Soo," she trailed off. "We still didn't decide."

"Nooo," I said sarcastically while Lanai cut her eyes at me.

"I'm serious man."

"Me too." She blew out in frustration.

"Can you stop?" I nodded and mumbled a sorry. I'm so childish :P

"Oh I know where we could go." I finally said. "How about we go to the mall?" I asked with a smile. Lanai looked up at me, grinning.

"Yeah that sounds good but I don't have that much money." She replied, looking down as she fiddled with the money in her pockets.
