Surprisingly, these two weeks went by really fast... I think it was because I've been spending so much time with Jacob...Speaking of Jacob, I've learned a lot about him. He's Mexican [like me] and half black. He's very confident, but also cocky sometimes. And when I say cocky, that's includes the fact that he's very flirtatious of his looks and charms. Though its clear to see, he's too cute for me to notice...I do like his character though because he's sort of like a misfit. He pretty much stands out from the rest with his afro, unique sense of style and positive attitude. And I can tell that he's not like these other boys. However, I know I can't let this innocent side of him get to me because I have a feeling he has a dirty side, a freaky side. Everyone does... Wtf, why am I even thinking about this?
Today was already Saturday and I was getting ready to hang out with Jacob. We were going to cold stone, my favorite ice cream place.
*At Cold Stone*
"Hey J" Jacob said as he joined me at the table where I was already eating my cookies and cream ice cream.
"Sup ugly, " I said with my mouth full.
He laughed. "Sup Slob."
I gave him a head nod and noticed he had a confused look on his face.
"What," I asked.
"Why you got so much damn cookies with that little ass bowl of ice cream."
"Cause imma G, like cookie monster," I joked. "You gotta problem?" I paused for a second. "Nah I'm just playing."
He looked at me strangely and then started busting out laughing.
"I have a crazy best friend," Jacob said showing that famous beautiful smile of his.
I made a face like 'duh'.
"So what's been going on," I asked. The smiley face he once had turned into a scared and unsure expression.
"I gotta tell you something J."
"What?" I asked worried.
"Promise me you wont get upset."
I held out my pinky before connecting it with his. " I promise."
He sighed deeply. "I've been dating Lanai"
"Really, that's all you wanted to tell me?"
"Yeah," he said avoiding eye contact.
I playfully pushed him. "You had me thinking something bad really happened. Exaggerating over nothing. But Jacob, I'm not upset. l'm actually happy for you."
He raised a brow.
"C'mon I'm serious." I spoke honestly.
"Ok, if you say so..."
I dont know what came over me but I held both of his hands, which happened to be very soft, and looked into his eyes.
"Jacob you're my best friend and if you're happy then I'm happy," I assured him with a genuine smile.
He instantly smiled and stood both of us up since we were still holding hands. He pulled me close and embraced me into a warm hug. Oh my gosh!! I mentally face palmed myself at the fact he smelled so fudging good!!!
"This is why I love you J," he whispered in my ear sending chills down my spine. I shivered dramatically forgetting I was still in his arms. He laughed at me.
