*At Church*
As we were in the middle of a prayer, my phone vibrated.
"Shit," I mumbled. "I mean shoot." I try so hard not to curse in church sometimes.... My head shot up, good thing no one heard that. I tapped my mom.
"Ma, I'm going to the bathroom."
"Ok ser rápido." I nodded.
[Translation : "Ok be quick."]
I checked my phone. It was a text from Jacob
J Ugly ❤: Hey J
Me: What do you want!?
J Ugly ♥: Well damn. I dont get a hi or nothing...
Me: Sorry. Hey, ugly. I'm at church and you kinda interrupted...
J Ugly ♥: Oh, my bad. Me and Lanai are going to the park...Wanna come?
Me: Not really...
J Ugly ♥: Well you dont really have a choice. Lol, jk. But fr can you come...please
Me: Well since you're begging, yeah
J Ugly ♥: Lmao but thx J. See you around 2
Me: Yeah ok

After church, I changed into some jeans and a shirt, getting ready to go to the park. I stood in the middle of my room for split second knowing I was forgetting something...Oh yeah! My phone. I ran down the steps and saw my mom sitting on the couch watching TV.
"Mamá, ¿puedo ir al parque con los amigos"
"Sí, estar de vuelta antes de las seis."
"Ok gracias mamá" I kissed her on the cheek.
[Translation: "Mom, can I go to the park with friends? "
"Yes, be back before six."
"Ok thanks mommy."]
I decided to get something to eat because I was kinda hungry...
Walking into the park, I saw Jacob and Lanai holding hands...The sight was painful knowing I wasn't the one. But I had to admit they looked kinda cute together.
Jacob being the silly one, was doing something with his hair and looked back. He did a double take and waved. I laughed and waved back. I made my way towards Jacob and Lanai.
"Hey Lanai" I hugged her.
"Hey Jasmine," she said. "I remember you from middle school."
"Me too." I smiled while nodding.
There was an awkward silence so I looked at Jacob and laughed. He had a cute smile on his face with his hand out.
