"Rose... Rose." I hear a voice whisper. Then my brain feels like it's about to explode. "Rose!" A voice yells in my ear.
"Huh? W-what?" I stammer and sit up straight causing me to smash my skull into someone.
"Ouch, you have a hard fucking head, Rose." Bella grumbles as she rubs the spot on her forehead that's turning red.
"Bella?" When did she get back? Oh who cares, my best friend is back! I jump off the couch and wrap my arms around her. "I missed you!" I basically scream into her shoulder.
"I missed you too, babe." She laughs and pats my head. I think she hangs around dogs too much. "But why haven't you answered my calls? And more importantly, why do you look like you cried yourself to sleep?" She gasps my face in her palms and stares at me with a raised brow.
I probably look like a mess, the little I can remember about last night wasn't so great. "You called?" I don't even remember my phone ringing.
"Yeah, babe. About a hundred times." She confirms. I break away from her grasp and grab my phone off of the coffee table. My eyes widen at the amount of missed calls. Between her and the guys there are hundreds of missed calls and unread texts. I must have passed out and slept through all of them somehow.
"I didn't hear it! I'm sorry." Did she come back because of this? When I talked to her yesterday she still had a few things to wrap up. No way did she get that all done in a few hours.
"I'm just glad you're safe. Ace told me about you calling him earlier, then we both missed a call from you and then you wouldn't answer. Blake wouldn't pick up either and I had a horrible feeling in my gut." I can't help but notice the hint of disgust in her voice when she says Blake's name.
"He's ignoring you too?" He must really be in a mood to ignore Bella. One time Ace ignored her for a day. She showed up later and stood right in front of him, called him, swiped his phone off him, answered it then shoved it to his ear and made him talk to her. Blake was there to witness it, so I'm surprised he would risk it. Oh my gosh, is that why she came home early?
"Eh, don't worry about lover boy. I sent Ace after him." She waves her hand in dismissal and walks to the kitchen.
"You did?" I ask even though she currently has her head shoved in a cabinet. She must be looking for food.
"Yeah, turns out he was sleeping. Freaked out when he found out you were gone. The guys have been out looking for you for hours." Her voice is muffled as she rummages through the containers of food and spices.
"Really? I left a note." I state. Bella's head whips out of the cabinet, her lips in a straight line and eyes squinted.
"Do you even pay attention to how those guys react when it comes to you? You really thought they would look around the house for a note?" She says rather sassy.
"Well, I didn't really think he would care that much since he's the one who told me to leave." I huff, arms crossed.
A bag of noodles lands on the floor with a thud, Bella slowly turns around. "He said what? To whom?" Her voice is slow and steady. And the look on her face makes a shiver run up my spine.
"He shouted at me to leave him alone and go away. So I did." I shrug, I'm trying to keep my emotions level. I did enough crying last night.
"Oh, that little bitch. You better start looking for a good plastic surgeon if you like his face, because I'm about to mess it up so bad that even he won't recognize himself when he looks in the mirror." She cracks her knuckles. My eyes widen as she grabs a cast iron skillet that was hung on her wall.
