The Girl with Leukemia
There I sat with my best friend
When the doctor broke the news
It was like a sullen scavenger hunt
We had followed all the clues
The tears rolled down her face
While I just sad stone still
I really hate these moments
With all of their wrong thrill
I refuse to believe the words
Said by the doctor with his clipboard
She cannot have Leukemia
Please, oh please, Lord
I've heard on some occation
People do survive
Please, let that be the case!
I need my best friend alive
I kno that with chemo, therepy, and faith
She can get through this
She has the strength to do it
There is so much she would miss.
