This is my first book, (So please don't be to hard on me lol) and I am really excited to start writing it.
This is a copyrighted work and no parts of this maybe copied, and used.
This book is pure fiction any characters that may seem to be based off of anyone is simply coincidence.
I hope you enjoy my work.
Please vote, and comment, your thoughts, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Thanks :)
The following italicized message below is totally okay for you not to read. Its just what happened to me today (the first day of publishing this).
Just ranting a little :)
Earlier on today, I accidentally deleted my entire story, all the drafts and everything. It was horrible because I'd been working so hard on it. Even though I hadn't finished writing it, most of my notes were on Wattpad.
ALWAYS HAVE A BACKUP!!!
^I learned a valuable lesson that I ought to have already known, you know what? Now it'll never happen again. I remembered that a lot of my notes on the book were on actual paper and I thought of that as a blessing.
Romans 8:28 and Psalms 34:19 were what helped me get through the rest of the day.
Sorry I'm ranting and you don't even have to read that part if you don't want to... XD
I hope you enjoy the updated version! :)
_____
Kara POV
"You getting in the car or what?!" My older brother yells from his car outside.
"I'm coming!" I call back stealing one last glance at myself in the mirror before racing outside.
I'm wearing skinny jeans and black converse, with a red and black flannel and a white graphic tee underneath. I throw my favourite salt and pepper beanie.
My typical outfit.
My older brother, Dallas, honks the horn as I'm coming outside, racing down the stairs towards the car.
"Shut the-" I start.
"Front door, Kara. You left it opened." He interrupts, and I roll my eyes, and I turn back to close the door and lock it. He begins backing out of the driveway,
"Wait! Stop!"
I run down the front steps, and he stops, jerkily.
I open the passenger door and pull a face at him, "Very funny." I sit down, shut the door and he begins backing out.
"I know, that's why I was voted class clown. You on the other hand should be voted slowest to get ready in the morning. Stop looking at me like that, that's not attractive."
"Oh so you mean like your face?" I ask smirking at my snappy comeback. He gives me a dirty look.
My brother is actually nice, and really protective of me. He sometimes can be even more over-protective than my parents which is highly irritating. He's three years older than me, in second year university, and he has always watched over me. I remember when I was in grade nine and he was in grade twelve, he would talk to all my guy friends to keep them in line. Keyword being friends, as in platonic friends. My poor friends were scared out of their minds, but I still talked to them despite my brothers suspicions. My girlfriends, on the other hand, fawned over him, I just felt nauseous every time. All his friends treated me like their little sister as well so I had grade 12 jocks watching over me 24/7.
