"Will you ever forgive my brother?" Gemma asked him a few weeks later as they strolled through the gardens. The Queen silently watching them, arm looped through Louis'.

And, wasn't this the question behind all of his agony? Couldn't life be generous with him for once and grant him the answer?

"He loves you dearly so," Gemma spoke, aching from how hurt Harry and him had been for weeks. "And so do you."

"Sometimes love can't be enough," he replied. "Lord Marcus would never betray you in this way."

"Do you feel betrayed by him?" The Queen asked, saddened.

"I did, at first," he confessed, "I thought I had failed in gaining his trust. That I failed to make him feel safe with me."

His eyes took in all the flowers, reminding him how a token of apology greeted him on his bedside each morning, longing for him.

"Does he make you feel safe?"

"Yes, even after everything, I only feel safe knowing he is nearby."

"Isn't that the answer you are seeking for?" The Queen asked.

He sighed, looking up at the skies in search for an answer, "Maybe."
