y/n stared into their mirror, the person they saw haunting their mind, y/n's eyes dropped down to their chest.

They desperately tried to flatten it out, anything to make it look like if wasn't there, like it wasn't real, because y/n wasn't a girl.

y/n has never been a girl. Even though everyone thought they were, y/n knew they weren't, and it was eating them alive.

The whole thought consuming them whole as they desperately tried to make themselves feel like a girl because they knew people would talk.

They knew that not everyone was going to supportive about it. It made them so hurt because they wanted more than anything to just be seen as a person and not a girl.

Because y/n wasn't a girl.

They weren't a girl goddammit!

And it sucked, because they wanted more than anything to feel normal. They turned to their side facing the bedroom door they desperately waited to open.

The boy that'd soon come through that made them so happy, though the boy didn't see y/n as themselves but as someone else.

y/n just wanted to tell him so bad but the response that came with the confession is what scared the fuck out of y/n, it was so frustrating.

They slumped down into the ground beside their bed, curling up, watching as the moon glistened the room from one side.

They still stared at the door, waiting peacefully or more like impatiently, because they really just wanted to get it all over with.

The fear of the boy they loved leaving as soon as they spoke up haunted their brain and heart.

I mean for once, did y/n have someone that make's them feel safe, and honored.

They were scared that one confession could affect their whole relationship. It was scaring them. Eating them alive.

It wasn't fair, it wasn't fair that other people didn't have to deal with this, it wasn't fair that y/n felt like this.

They just wanted it all too go away.

They sniffled, their eyes beginning to water, the tears beginning to fall without realization, as their sleeves began to soak up the tears falling.

Sniffles emit through the bedroom, as tears stained their sleeves, and without noticing arms began to wrap around them.

Startled, they looked up only to be met with their boyfriend's eyes, he smiled lightly at them, his face softening up as he stared at them, he frowned.

"Why are you crying darling?" Five asked. Soothingly as his voice emits through
y/n's ears.

"I just- you wouldn't understand." y/n spoke up. Not wanting to meet their boyfriends eyes.

"I'm not always going to understand. But I'm here too listen and comfort you when you need me. You can talk to me n/n. You're my girlfriend and I'm here for you." Five spoke the words already calming y/n.

But "girlfriend"

y/n gulped, not wanting to meet Five's eyes as it all just scared them. They were so worried Five would leave them if they spoke up.

So they remained quiet, snuggling beside Five as they cried, clinging onto the boy, they felt as if they let go he'd disappear and never been in their reach ever again.

"y/n please talk to me." Five whispered, a light frown plastered on his face as he caressed y/n's forearms.

y/n remained silent, afraid to utter their confession, Five continued to beg for minutes in hopes y/n would tell him.

But they remained silent, not saying anything at all. Five frowned.

"Darling why won't you tell me?" Five asked, his voice soothing in y/n's ears. y/n took a deep breath.

"You'll hate me Five." y/n whispered, their voice raspy due to the crying as they nudged their head in his neck.

"I promise you n/n, I won't." Five reassured and for a moment y/n realized that Five was the only person who truly ever loved them.

y/n took a deep breath, moving slightly away from Five afraid to even look at him.

"Five I'm non binary. I've always been, but you're the first I've told. Please don't hate me." y/n mumbled. Not wanting to look at him.

Five wrapped his arms around y/n, "Thank you for telling me. I still love you for you
y/n, I don't see you any differently I'm not here to judge okay?" Five whispered.

He moved slightly to wipe y/n's tears with his thumbs. y/n smiled widely at him.

They leaned in kissing him softly comforting arms wrapped around each other.

"I love you Five."

"I love you to y/n."
