Right now, it's completely dark out, only the moon light is lighting the world. The world where there is only a father wishing for his daughter- who fighting for her life- to get better. The world in which I would never think I would see someone I hate; turn into someone I don't mind.
The stars light the sky with the moon and under those stars ae two people sitting, wondering if a little girl in a room not too far away is going to get better. These two people are sitting in silence, knowing that there is nothing that could be said to fix or help a little girl. One of them, the girl, looks at the other, the boy. You could tell how upset the boy was from his face, you could tell how much he was crying. The girl, well I'm the one telling you this.
I lay my head the boy's shoulder. The boy's name is Elliot. I stayed with Elliot for the whole day, I left sometimes to get us food or drinks. He refused to move, because he was so scared for his daughter. To be honest I can't wait to meet her, Elliot has told what she looks like. But I want to see with my own my eyes.
My family came by and asked if everything is okay, I told everything after I had asked Elliot of course. Jonah understood what he must be going through, being a father myself. Jonah and his family decide to stay for the rest of week. But we are still here waiting for her, Elliot's daughter. Everyone is asleep, like the sun that has went down.
I was a little upset to see that Harvey didn't show up, but what made me mad at him was that he has left the night before and didn't think to tell me or anyone. The only reason we know is because the servants saw him leave. Elliot looks at me, "When Amara was younger, I would tell her stories of you. I always would end the story with me saying that you would be amazing a queen, and no one stood a chance against you." He says while looking down like he could see the memories. He looks at me with a soft smile, I could tell there was something more.
He slowly moves his head to the window, not too far from us. "I was going to have little sister, but my sister did not survive childbirth. I was so upset," He looks at me while shaking his head, "I thought that if I couldn't have a little sister, why should you? So, I was mean to you, but it did not brother you. I thought that if I messed with Aubery that would get you." He looks down at himself, I could see that he was hating himself for his actions.
He licks his lip, his lips look soft, but yet so dry- wait, what! I look away feeling my cheeks heat up, I have no idea why I was looking at his lips. I shake my head and look back at him, trying to ignore his lips. He looks back at me, "I was correct about it brothering you. I will never let that down, now knowing I was not the brightest at my age; has made me want to grow from that." I knew why he was telling me this, he knew that I needed an explanation why he was mean to my sister. And I finally got the answer.
I gave him a soft smile, he retunes it. I move my chair closer to him, I know he is watching what I'm doing. I get right next to him before sitting down. "If it helps at all, you seem like amazing father." I say while my head on his shoulder. I don't care, what I am doing at all. I just know that I'm tried and ready for bed, but I'm not leaving him here alone. Leaving him in his thoughts, and I know right now that wouldn't be for the best.
He is looking at me like I'm a snake. I close my eyes showing I'm tried. I feel him get comfortable; I open my eyes again to see him with his eyes closed as well. A smile forms on my lips as I look at him. He didn't want to sleep until I did because he didn't want to be rude. I close my eyes, letting the darkness take over what it wants.
In the moonlight, under the stars, in a hallway there is girl laying her head on a boy's shoulder. Both have their eyes closed as the world moves around them. The boy is a father, a friend, a brother, a son, a future king named Elliot. The sleep he begs for is shown on his face, under his eyes that are closed. You can see the redness on his checks from crying and from the girl who is laying on his shoulder.
The girl is a friend, a sister, an aunt, a daughter, a future queen named Eleanor. The sleep she needs for tomorrow is shown on her face, under her closed eyes. Her mouth opened just a bit to breathe, her checks red from the boy that she is laying on. Her thoughts filled with the day and the little girl in the room who is right behind the door on her right.
The world is just these three, a little girl in a room fighting for her life, a girl who is falling for her enemy and is the future queen, a boy who has fallen for the girl that hates him and is the future king. The moonlight in the darkness shines on them, giving them the little light, it can. The stars dance in the sky for the little girl, while for the boy and girl showing all the people who dancing above.
If you won't know any better, you would think that the boy and girl are lovers. But they will never agree to that, they will agree that like each other. Maybe one day, just one day, on a night like this they will finally tell each other. We can only hope for that day, that night, that moon, those stars, will be perfect. We can only hope.
