"Vegas! Come here quickly!"

"Why would I?"

"Well, go upstairs and you'll see!"

Pete impatiently stomps on the steps, insistently calling Vegas up.

"And why not just say it to me?" Vegas, sitting in the living room, stretches and reluctantly closes the book. "What's up?"

"Hurry up!"

"O-okay."

Pete smiles and almost skips off to the nursery.

"Uh... what's that smell?" Vegas wrinkles his nose on the way.

Pete giggles, covering his mouth with his palm, and then opens the door and nods happily:

"Look!"

In the middle of the nursery Venice is solemnly sitting on a sea-green baby potty.

Vegas pinches his nose and wrinkles his face:

"Did you invite me to look at his... poop?"

"Damn, Vegas! It was the first time he did it to the potty, not to the diaper. Isn't it great?!"

"Yeah. An enchanting event. Do you mind if I leave it already?"

Pete purses his lips and folds his arms over his chest:

"You don't understand anything… so-called big brother."

"Well, what should I do?"

"Praise him! It's a success for our baby !.. Not funny, actually."

"Very funny," Vegas grunts with laughter, and then comes closer, still not taking his hands off his nose. "Well done, Venice... is that all?" He looks back at Pete.

Pete rolls his eyes:

"Oh, come on!"

Vegas rubs his little finger against Pete's thigh:

"Since such an important event happened — it should be celebrated. After lunch, we'll go to the city, buy some goodies and have a mini-picnic in the park, okay?"

"Venice will sleep first. It's about for a couple of hours."

"Good. We're in no hurry."

Five days before the second trial. Pete takes care of both of them as best as he can. And enjoys every moment that they spend together. He knows that this is also very important to Vegas.

While Venice has an afternoon nap, Vegas consults with lawyers in his office, and Pete calls his granny. The latter, in response to a question about how she feels, answers "everything is fine," but Pete does not feel it in her voice. However, he decides not to wind himself up, asks his grandmother to rest more and promises that he will visit her as soon as the opportunity comes. The last thing Pete would want to do is leave his guys, but he can't forget about the one who raised him, replacing his mom. Besides, the grandfather is no longer alive, the elderly person is all alone — numerous grandchildren, with the exception of Pete, for some reason forgot the way to her, barely grew up. He just has to stay here right now, he needs to support Vegas. It will be clear later, Pete decides.

"Where's the potty?" Vegas grins, opening the car door for them.

"A diaper is required for walking. You can't have everything at once," Pete smiles, putting the baby in the car seat.

While Venice decorates the hedgehog's spikes with small flowers that he found in the grass next to their place, Vegas, sitting nearby, leans his back against a tree, pulling Pete to him and hugging the young man across his tummy.
