It felt like time itself had stopped. I wasn't sure if anyone was even breathing, I know I wasn't. I processed his words as I looked into those steel blue eyes. Finally, I spoke, my voice barely audible. "What the fuck do you mean? You're the reason Hydra had me?!" That didn't make any sense. I had been with Hydra all my life, how could it be Buckys fault?! My mind was racing, my emotions in overdrive, I couldn't focus now so I went to what I knew best. I shut down. Slamming Bucky hard against the wall, I repeat. "What the fuck do you mean!!" I raise my voice, I'm angry now, I can feel Steve and Tony moving closer to me but my focus is solely on Bucky. He raises his hand to stop the pair from tearing me off him.
"I can explain everything. Just let me go.." He spoke softly, his eyes never leaving mine. I don't know what to do, I want to run, away from Bucky, from Tony, from the truth.. Truth? It's not the truth! Before I even realise what I'm doing, I've released Bucky and took a step back from him. "Why don't we all sit down and talk..." Steve suggests, looking from me to Bucky to Tony. He's nervous and confused, as he should be. No one moves though. The tension is thick in the air. Tony speaks up now. "Barnes. Start talking." ,Yes, Barnes. Start talking. Bucky takes a deep breath and looks to Tony. "That night that I.." He swallows hard and closes his eyes briefly before opening them, he can't look at me now. What the fuck is going on. "Someone tell me what the fuck is going on!" I shout, tears burning in my eyes as I turn to Tony. "TELL ME!" I scream at him, and the tears are streaming down my cheeks. Why the fuck am I crying?! I'm not weak! Tony opens his mouth to speak but it's Bucky that I hear.
"You were in the car the night your parents died.." He takes a shaky breath before continuing. "The night I killed your parents." I whirl to face him and as soon as my eyes meet his I'm thrown back into a memory.

I was asleep in the back of the car when the crash happened, thankfully mom had made me wear my seatbelt, I was thrown forward and then back into my seat. I cried out in shock as my eyes flew open. "Mom?! Dad!" I scream, fear seizing me as the engine burst into flames. Oh god! We have to get out!! I'm aware of a motorbike pulling up, someone to help us?! "Help! Help!" I scream as my dad crawls out of the car. "Please help my wife. My daughter" he calls to the stranger. I'm pulling at my seatbelt but it's stuck.."Mom?! Mom! I'm stuck!!" She's not listening, she's hurt, I can see the blood on her face as she turns her head to my father. "Dad?" I squirm against the seatbelt, wriggling to get a view of my father. That's when I see him... The man with the metal arm, he beats my dad, once, twice, three times, right in the face. Mom is begging him to stop and there's someone screaming.. it's me.. I can hear it, my screams begging him to stop.
"Daddy! No! Leave him alone! Dad!!" I'm screaming, begging for my fathers life. The metal man drags my dad back to the car and put him inside, he's not moving... No.. daddy... Tears are streaming down my face, I'm still struggling to get free. He's moving now, coming for my mom. No! "Leave her alone!!" I beat my hands against the window but he's ignoring me, it's like I don't exist.. his hand wraps around my mom's throat.. and in an instant I'm alone in this world.. both my parents are dead. He steps back and his eyes meet mine through the window, I'm next.. I know it.. but he walks away. I'm going to die in a car fire.. I close my eyes and send out my prayers.. Tony.. Tony is going to be all alone.. I begin to cry more, I want my big brother.. the window beside me smashes and a metal arm reaches in, he snaps the belt like it's nothing and drags me kicking and screaming out of the car.

"You... I... You..."
I stutter over the words, tears streaming down my face. I raise my head and look at Bucky.
"I remember everything."
I whisper, my fist raising as I punch him in the face. Steve cries out in shock at me attacking Bucky but I'm not paying attention to him. I'm going to kill Bucky Barnes! "YOU MURDERED MY PARENTS RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME! YOU DID THIS TO ME!!" I scream, we've tumbled to the floor now and I'm on top of him, punching him with both fists, he's raised his arms to block them but he won't fight back.
"I'm sorry!" He keeps repeating the words as Steve seizes me around the waist and pulls me off of Bucky.
