Chapter Eleven: Unexpected

I am not afraid of Death. I shall welcome him with open arms as though we are old friends...

I can hear Bucky scream my name and as I look up I see Steve pulling him away from the edge of the roof. Would he jump after me? Fool. "TONY! DO SOMETHING!!" Steve is yelling but his voice is getting faint as I fall further from them. I continue to fall, awaiting my untimely death, but the cold concrete never comes. There's a flash of light and I'm landing with a grunt in someones bed. It takes a second to register but as soon as I gather my wits I'm up on my feet, glaring at the figure before me. Why are all the men in my life suddenly so fucking handsome? I grumble incoherently as my eyes trail up and down the man before me. He stood with a cocky smile on his face, slender digits wrapped around a scepter with a glowing blue crystal on top. Probably worth something. Totally stealing that. My eyes trail from his hand up to his face, dark hair framed his slim face and even though he wore clothes that I was 100% certain you couldn't buy locally, I could tell his physique was impressive. However, when he spoke it took away all the mystery about him.

"I am Loki, of Asgard. Kneel before your saviour." His voice boomed around the small room and he raised his free hand, gesturing for me to kneel before him. I burst out laughing, absolute bellyaching laugh. Tears sprung to my eyes and when I finally managed to calm down, I could barely catch my breath to say. "Yeah, fuck that's not happening. " The outrage was written all over his face, he marched towards me, quickly backing me up into the wall.."You dare laugh at a God, foolish midgardian. You will kneel!!" "As long as I have my own free will, I will never kneel to anyone.. unless yknow it's in the bedroom and we're getting.." I was babbling when he interrupted me, a wicked gleam in his eyes. "Free will? Let us remedy that." He brought the scepter forward and tapped it against my chest, right where my heart was. Everything felt cold as though ice ran through my veins, my eyes met his and a smile curled my lips. "Now my pet, kneel." Loki stepped back and without any further argument or hesitation I knelt before him.

He chuckled and reached out, cupping my chin and guiding me back to my feet. "Together we will change the world. Starting with my brother and his foolish friends."

In a flash Loki and I were gone.

*** One week later.***

Buckys POV~

It had been a week since the events on the roof, watching Aurora fall like that had really messed me up. We're all still trying to wrap our heads around what happened, no one knows for sure. When Tony and Sam made it to the ground floor they said there was no trace of a body anywhere and it's not as though you could miss the remains of a body falling off a roof. Tony said the cameras had cut off too so that wasn't helpful. I hope she survived the fall and is off hiding somewhere, I've been trying to convince myself that this is true because I honestly have no other explanation for it. We've been searching for her, tracking for her facial on all CCTV, I don't know how they do it but Tony and Bruce set it up which is cool, hopefully it'll find her. I've been going out every night, I don't really know where to look but it doesn't stop me from trying, I can't just sit back and do nothing. She could be hurt. I've been searching Hydra safe houses throughout the city but they're all empty. A whole week and nothing to show for it, I'm beginning to lose hope.

Tony wants to have a party tonight, absolutely no idea why but I suppose he thinks everyone needs a distraction. I don't want to go, I want to be out there, searching for Aurora. Tony and I came to blows about it last night, she's his sister, you'd think he would be doing more but honestly I think he's given up, I think they all have. But not me, I can't give up. I have to find her.
