Pull yourself together.

That familiar voice rang through my head forcing me to stand up straight and take notice. I was being absolutely pathetic, if anyone from Hydra could see me now.. God, if Pierce could see me now.. I'd surely be punished. Emotions were weakness and I was not weak. I wiped at my eyes and brushed the tears from my cheeks, I could feel Steves eyes on me, watching me closely in case I break down again. Ugh how must I look to him? Wait, why the fuck did I care? Shaking my head, I take a breath and raise my eyes to meet Steve's. He offers me a soft smile and opens his mouth to speak but I speak first. "I'm sorry about that.. it's all just so overwhelming.. so much to take in, I erm.. I just need a bit of time.. is there somewhere I can get cleaned up and maybe rest?" I keep my voice soft as my eyes shift over his face, once again I can't help but notice how beautiful he is. Keep it together! God, I needed to get away from them. Steve nods and looks around the room we are in. "Uh yeah.. yeah of course!! You can stay in here.. this room is empty, there's a shower in the bathroom and I'm sure Wanda and Nat will have some spare clothes you can borrow. I can go ask them!" He reminded me of a puppy, so cute and quick to help. I smile and nod, waiting for him to leave the room. As soon as the door closed I wiped the smile off my face.

My mission was still the same but now I had a more pressing reason to kill Bucky Barnes. Those memories would haunt me for a long time. I waited for a few moments and then left the room, closing the door behind me and making my way down the hallway, listening for anyone coming my way. I made it down the hallway before I came to a stop. There were people arguing nearby, raised voices. I could make out Tony yelling and someone yelling back, it took a moment before I realised it was Bucky. Between the two of them yelling I could hear Steve's soft voice, trying to bring peace to them. I crept closer and peeked into the room.

Tony was glaring at Bucky, gee if looks could kill.. "You're out of your mind, Tony! She's a threat to all of us here! She's tried to kill me twice!" Bucky yelled, gesturing to his body as he spoke. Tony laughed and shook his head. "Clearly she had a reason! You made her what she is, Barnes!' Steve had given up on trying for peace and now simply stood watching.. Bucky stepped closer to Tony, the pair practically chest to chest. "And that's exactly why I know what she is capable of! You haven't seen what she can do, how powerful she is! Lock her up and throw away the key!" He yelled the last words loudly and I bit back my laughter. There was the Winter Soldier I knew. He wasn't telling them everything though, he had missed out the most important thing and I wanted more than anything to burst into the room and reveal it, but it wasn't time for that yet, instead I stood and watched them argue. "Just like we should have done with you, right? Except Steve stopped that. He had trust in you. She's my sister, I'm not locking her up. We're going to help her and if you can't get on board with that then leave." Tony replied with a shrug, effectively dismissing Barnes.

"It's rude to eavesdrop, yknow?" A voice spoke from behind me, I whirled around, fists clenched, ready for a fight. Instead I was met with a soft smile. "Not gonna hurt ya, kid. You're Tony's sister, right? I'm Clint." Despite his kind words I knew his guard was up, before I could answer he walked past me and into the room. "You have an audience." He said to the three men inside. Fuck sake, Clint! I grumble some curse words under my breath as I enter the room. Their eyes all widen and now they look like deer in headlights, I chuckle to myself and give them a small wave. For some dumb reason all I could think to say was..

"I got tired of waiting in bed for you, Steve, so I came to find you..."

And then all Hell broke loose, much to my amusement..
