We did a walk through the bar and talked out ideas. "What if Jesse dresses up as a ghost of an old west bartender?" I suggested and my dad nodded in agreement.

"We could do like an old west kind of theme for this," Jared suggested too. "But where can we get the costumes?"

That had me stumped as to where to get the costumes. So, I pulled out my phone and used Google. "There's a lot of Spirit Halloween stores around us and one called Novelties Unlimited," I looked at them both.

"I guess I better call the guys in," Jared said with a laugh. "Maybe some of the ladies too."

I noticed that my dad was fidgeting a bit. So, I listened in to his thoughts. "How am I going to afford this?" I smiled at him as I said, "I don't mind helping out."

My dad just stood there, looking at me and I softly laughed. "We'll help out too," Jared offered to him. "This is a great idea that you came up with."

"And I bet that I can get us some more volunteers," I looked for the messenger icon to send a message.

I stayed in contact with some of my old high school friends while I lived in Colorado. Crystal was online, so I shot her a message first. I also gave her my number to call. Within seconds, my phone was ringing. As I answered, I put my phone on speaker. "Girl! Why didn't you tell me that you were back?" she shrieked over the phone. I was glad that I had the call on speaker.

"I've only been in town for five days," I said with a laugh.

"Where are you at?" she asked me.

"I'm at my dad's bar, The Rooster Den," I told her and my dad looked at me.

"See you in a bit," she said and hung up.

If I know Crystal, she'll let our other closer friends know that I'm back in town. I wandered towards where the little rooms were. What to make in these rooms? That was a hard thing to think about because we were going with a western theme. I think I am going to have to watch that movie with Nick Carter and A.J McLean in it, "Dead 7".

I made my way back up front and in the nick of time. Crystal pulled up and there were a few more cars with her. When she saw me, she rushed out of her car and hugged me tightly. Stepping back but still holding my shoulders, she said, "You should have told us that you were back in town."

"Had a lot happen in the five days," I told her as Meghan stepped over and hugged me.

"Sorry to hear about your brother and your mother," Cole picked me up and hugged me.

As I looked at my small group of friends, I started to realize something. Meghan always wore light colors but I had thought that was just her favorite colors. Cole and Ayden were tall and very strong too. Cayden wore earth-toned clothing. Maybe I'm thinking too hard about what my dad had told me.

The sounds of motorcycles and cars pulling up caught our attention. I recognized Keith and Dawson as they rolled by. Dawson smiled and winked at me and I looked away. I felt Crystal dig her elbow into my ribs and giggled. "He is pretty cute," she whispered to me and Dawson looked our way.

I couldn't say anything about him being a werewolf to explain why he could hear her even though she whispered. Toni smiled a bright smile and asked, "What's the plan?"

"We need help with haunted house ideas," I told her as we headed inside. "We are going with a western theme."

"Could it be something like the movie Dead Seven?" Meghan asked me and my dad looked at her confused.

"That was more like an apocalyptic western deal," Cayden spoke up softly.  "More like Steampunk western."

I softly chuckled as I noticed that my dad was confused about what we were talking about. "Dad, I'm going to have to show you the movie," I smiled at him.

"I got an idea for the kitchen," my aunt Lori said as she walked in. She grinned at me as she continued. "Crazy woman cooks up the people that come through."

"Like Texas Chainsaw Massacre," I said with a laugh.

"Which version though baby girl?" she asked me and I laughed.

"I think that it was the second or third one," I told her because I couldn't remember for the life of me.

"How do we get the ghostly look?" my dad asked me and I had to think.

"We'll go to Harrygul's Halloween Shop in Norfolk," I said as I remembered that was one of the shops that Google brought up.

"How about a duel scene?" Dawson asked and we all looked at him. "One that repeats itself over and over?"

"I should have picked up a notebook," I said with a laugh.

We all sat down to brainstorm about this. Before I knew it, it was time for the boys and Kayla to be home. Luckily, I had a notepad app on my phone to take down all the notes.

As I drove home, I thought about what my dad, Jared, and I talked about before everyone joined us. I'm guessing that Jasper is like the king of vampires. If he is, are there more like him? I knew of different ways of killing a vampire from watching Buffy The Vampire Slayer. But what if those methods don't work on him as old as he is? Google wouldn't have the answers to this. It would bring up all the common methods that you see in movies and television shows. Stake through the heart, fire, beheading. That was just a few ways there.

This was all new to me. All I knew about supernatural creatures were from what I've seen in movies and television shows. I had always thought that it was make-believe, something Hollywood made up to sell movies. Now, I was stepping into the supernatural world...blindly.
