"Hey, Mom! I'm back (Name) declared, waving bye to her friends. She loved her hometown in California, she didn't plan on leaving. (Mother's Name) sat in the kitchen, sipping her coffee nervously, as if she felt guilty about something.
"Mom? What's wrong? (name) asks, standing beside her. (mother's name) frowned."i didn't want to tell you since you'd freak out, but we're moving." (name)'s eyes widened in shock. "Mom? Why?"
(mother's name) sighed. "well... some complications came in. and you're moving, not me." "What? (name) asked in shock. "Your father, (father's name) and I decided you'd be living with him for some time, (mother's name) said." in forks."
"Forks? (Name) asks confusedly. "In Washington, She adds. "The reason why is I've met this amazing guy and... we're moving to Chicago. I know you wouldn't want this so you're moving in with your dad."
(Name) was shocked. Why would her mother do this to her? And for some other guy? "Mom, you chose some guy over me! She yelled. "Why?" (mother's name) frowned. "We've decided we're in love. I can't help it, (nickname)."
Maybe it was better off She stay as far away as possible from her mother, who'd always put herself over her own child. "Never mind, (name) responds coldly. "I don't want to be near a woman who puts a man over her child."
"(name)!"
(name) storms upstairs, packing everything she owned which was a lot but made it work. her mother was sobbing from downstairs but by then, (name) had made up her mind already. it was better for her to leave.
And (mother's name) was right. She'd never want to go to Chicago. but seeing as she never met her father ever, why move in with a total stranger, even though he was her father, but still. (name) turned around, saying to (mother's name),"when do i leave?"
she sobbed, guilt finally showing. "tomorrow." (name) sighed. "what time?" "3 pm... her mother kept sobbing, like she wanted her only child to stay. however, by now, the damage had been done.
"here's your father's number."
(name) nodded, before going in her room for packing. her new life, in forks. she wondered how that would go, since senior year was mid-semester now, she was nervous for school, of course. but maybe this would be good for her.
she just needed some positivity.
by evening, (name) snuck out. her mother might be furious, but she would be living with (father's name) tomorrow, so did it even matter? her friends waved, they snuck out too. "what did you need us for? one of them asked.
(name) frowned."i have some news." they looked at her, before her friend lynn says," what is it?" she replied, "i'm moving." "moving? everyone said in unison. "Mhm, (Name) frowned. "tomorrow."
"why?"
"my mother."
they hug her one by one, she liked them so much, she would miss them for sure, but life might be good in forks, depends on how she sees it. "well, can't you refuse? Owen asks, the guy who was in love with (Name).
"I can, but nothing would help, I'm 17, still a minor, (Name) explained. "I promise, one day i'll be back." "Okay, They said, hugging her once more before she began walking back. For sure, her mother would be sleeping.
Hopefully.
She sighed of relief, seeing the dark house in front of her, tomorrow would be interesting, to say the least. Her sobs must've helped her sleep. (Name) snuck in her room, closing her window, before going to sleep.
Oh boy was she tired.
Very exhausted.
During the night, though, her mind imagined Forks. Bright, fun, happy? Maybe. (Name) hoped so. She smiled, completely losing consciousness. Early morning, she changed. Everything she owned was packed.
Sure, she'd miss her room, but she told herself she'd be back. she would be here once she was 18(which would be soon), then she could move in her old home. Possibly, if she could afford it. (name) frowned, bringing her things down.
"you have everything? (mother's name) asked. (Name) nodded, she would be flying on her own. She had before, but this time she was extremely nervous. her mother wiped her tears like she had been crying all night.
Momentarily, (Name) felt horrible for (mother's name) hen remembered she was leaving her for some man. "Can you say something? Her mother sniffed, hugging her, seemingly forced. (Name) shook her head.
the car ride was awkward, of course. (Mother's name) was on the phone with her new boyfriend. She had some since the divorce, but not serious like him. (Name) stared out the window, seeing the airport.
Deep down, she was excited, but logically, She felt dread. So did her mother. "You know, You could come with me, (mother's name) offers. (name) shook her head. why would she? she obviously loved her new boyfriend more.
(name) always reminded her of (father's name) anyways.

Her mother waved goodbye, crying. Maybe she knew she'd never see her daughter again, or regretted abandoning her last minute. anything was possible. (Name) sighs, going on the plane. No turning back now.
Sitting in her seat, (Name) wondered if she would make friends in Forks, or if she wouldn't fit in, who knows? Endless possibilities, so many worries. Why was she worrying so much? Out of insecurities, She assumed.
(Name) was sort of an insecure person, despite being kind of socially awkward. She was lucky enough to even make friends in her old town. Tired, (Name) closed her eyes, deciding to get some sleep on the plane which would be some time. She fell asleep, softly humming to sleep.
Once she woke up, (name) knew the plane landed. in fact, it was announced. her phone had missed calls which meant she definitely had her mother worried, who couldn't trust her on her own.
Of course, she couldn't.
(Name) was babied by her mother all her life, not something she wanted, and now free, She still wanted control? (Name) got off the plane, feeling a sense of relief, now being in Forks. And there, in the distance.
Her father, smiling, waving at her.
