Asher's POV
I walked into the library and saw Andrew and Claire at the first table. Brian was in John's seat so decided to let John deal with him. I sat at the table behind Brian. John walked in the door and to his seat. He looked at Brian and snapped his fingers making Brian move to the table next to John's. While we were waiting for Vernon to come in and lecture us, Allison walked in and straight to the back table behind Brian.
Vernon walked in a couple minutes later. "Well, well, well. Here we are. I want to congratulate you for being on time." Mr. Vernon growled.
"Excuse me sir, I think there's been a mistake. I know it's detention but, um, I don't think I belong in here." Claire stated. Wow, she is so up tight. Mr. Vernon ignored her and went on.
"It is now 7:06. You have exactly 8 hours and 54 minutes to think about why you are here, ponder the error of your ways." Vernon said. Bender leaned back and spit in the air, then caught it again in his mouth.
"Cool man." I told him. He grinned at me then turned back to Vernon. "You will not talk," he pointed at the richys, "you will not move," he pointed at Brian, " you will not sleep," he pointed at bender, "and you will not draw, drum, sing, or fight anyone." He finally pointed at me. John put his feet on his table since Vernon to the chair his feet were on.
"Alright people, we are going to try something a little different. You are going to right an essay, no less than a thousand words, describing who you think you are. And when I say essay, I mean essay. I don't mean one word a thousand time. Is that clear Mr. Bender?" Vernon asked while handing out paper and pencils.
"Crystal." John answered.
"Good, I hope you all learn a little something about yourself. Maybe you will decide if you care to return." Vernon replied.
Brian stood up nervously.
"Um, I can answer that now sir. And that'd be a no for me, because..." He got cut off by Vernon telling him to sit down.
"Thank you sir." Brian replied quickly while sitting down.
