Birthday Blues

~Three weeks later~
Kary's POV

*BEEP BEEP BEEP* "Ugh" I groaned as I slammed my hand on the alarm clock. "Hmm" Wait a minute ? What's today ?! I grabbed my phone from the nightstand. 'October 27' Great, it's my birthday. Well at least my best friend in the whole world Aylinn and her boyfriend, Theo whose my best guy friend, sent me birthday texts. "Hm, I love them so much" I sent them each a 'Thank you' text but just as I was about to get out of bed, Fox greeted me with lots of kisses. "Haha hey Fox ! You wishing me a happy birthday too ?" He just kept on giving me kisses. "There you are Fox." James said as he butted in the room. "Why is he here...with you ?" He asked giving me yet another disgusted look. "I-I-I found him sleeping here." I stuttered. "Whatever" he said. "James wait !" I said. "What now ?" He snapped. "Um, it's my birthday today and I was wondering if maybe we could have lunch ? Or maybe dinner ?" I ask hoping that he'd say yes. "Sure I guess. But it's gonna have to be dinner, I work until 6 I probably won't be back until 7ish" he said while...smiling ? "O-okay, I can't wait." I can't believe he's actually being nice to me. Well I guess I'm going shopping for a dress and some heels. Might as well treat myself like a princess. "Alright then, I'll see you later, and Happy Birthday too" " he said with an adorable smile. "Thanks" I said while smiling as well.

When James left I got up and put on some shorts, my vans, and a tank top but I used some coverup to hide my scars and I gotta say, they were practically invisible ! Then I put on some light make up and left to go dress and shoe shopping. "Time to look beautiful." I said to myself

~Three hours later~
James' POV

DID I SERIOUSLY SAY 'YES' ?! Fuck ! I can't even stand looking at her ugly face so how the hell am I gonna survive a whole dinner with her ?!? "Hey James what's up bro ?" My best friend Kendall asked. Even tho BTR is over we still hang out in the studio. "Nothing just...I don't dude." I said. "I think you need a drink." He said. "Yeah I think that's what I need." I lied. I didn't need a drink, what I needed was a HOT girl. "Aight bro, let's get to it" I said while walking out of the studio and heading to the bar !

Kary's POV

Well I'm all dressed up in a tight black dress with black 5inch heels. I also had some really great makeup on and my hair down with wavy curls. I actually look beautiful. It's 8:00, but James said he'd be here by 7:30 ? 'Maybe he's just running late. I sat at the table with my phone since I'm texting Aylinn.

We kept on texting until she had to leave. I checked the time and it was 11:59 :,( .

"Well...happy birthday to me" I said while the tears started to fall. I trudged upstairs and stripped down to my pj's. Birthdays were never good for me, I was always left home alone with no one to celebrate with. I guess that's not gonna change.

James' POV

Oh man that was AMAZING !!!!! I got so wasted ! And I even screwed some chick who wouldn't stop hitting on me. So I thought 'Hey why not?' Kendall had to drive me home since he only had one drink. But when I got there, I saw Kary sitting at the table alone...Oh shit ! The dinner ! Damn, she looks so hot ! And...she's crying. This is all my fault. "Happy Birthday to me" I heard her say and she went upstairs. Man I feel so bad.

I went into her room to find her in bed sleeping, she looks so beautiful. I don't know if is the alcohol talking or if it's really me but I don't care right now. I lay down next to her and wrap my arms around her waist. "I'm sorry Kary. Happy Birthday Beautiful. I'll make it up to you, I promise." As I finished my little speech I hugged her closer to my body and gave her a kiss on her forehead. "Goodnight Beautiful"
