Kary's POV
"Y-You what ?" I asked
"Yeah you heard right. I love you." James said.
I got up from bed and started pacing back and forth. I saw James get up and walk towards me. My locket started flashing just like his.
"Kary please just try to understand that what I'm saying is true."
"How do you expect me to believe that ?! I mean I've been here for like what a month and you've been nothing but cruel to me then all of a sudden you tell me that you're in love with me ?!"
"Look I'm so sorry okay ! I can't go back and change anything ! But I do love you !"
"No ! No no no ! James don't even try ! You don't love me ! You can't just wake up one day and tell someone you love them after you treated them like trash !
He looked down with shame.
"Kary, please. I'm sorry. What can I do to make it up to you ?"
I couldn't respond to him without having my voice crack in the process.
"Oh wait ! I'll take you out for you're late birthday dinner !" He said with a big smile.
"I don't know." I said kinda nervously.
"Please ! I'll take you to the fanciest restaurant in town ! Please ?" He begged literally down on his knees.
"Okay, we can do dinner tonight."
"Really ?!? You'll go ?!" He asked happily as he's getting up.
"Yeah, I'll go."
He came and hugged me super tight.
"Okay well tonight at 7, I'll see you." He said while leaving to go to work.
He's not coming. You know that he doesn't mean anything.
I pushed those thoughts aside because now I need to meet up with Aylinn.
To: Aylinn
From: Kary
"Hey girl we need to meet up and it's super important !"
To: Kary
From: Aylinn
"Hey doll ! And yeah sure ! Starbucks in 20 ?"
To: Aylinn
From: Kary
"Okay I'll meet you there !"
*At Starbucks*
Aylinn's POV
Kary texted me saying she needed to see me asap. I go up and order us two grande mocha cookie crumbles.
"Hey girlie !" I hear Kary's bubbly voice. As I see her bright smile I get up to hug her.
"Hey beautiful ! How are you ?" I asked as we sit down and I hand her the drink.
"I've been good thanks, and I need to talk to you."
"Is everything okay ?" I'm starting to get really worried.
"Oh yeah everything is doing great actually."
She explained everything that happened that morning and I honestly can't believe it ! He fell in love with her ! I knew it would happen !
But the thing that got my attention the most is that she's smiling, but the way she's doing it's real. That smile, she never shows it too much. Not like that. It's how I know she's really happy with James. That she is in love with him.
