Sharon has just found her mate, Boe, and everybody but them are sitting in the living room. Shawn has just said that he hopes we can trust Boe, which I think about it for a moment. Can we trust a complete stranger? I think so, so I say, "the forest let him in, so I'm sure we can."

He gives me as small smile. "Since when did you become so smart?" I chuckle. "Aww, baby. I've always been smart. I'm also right all the time." He laughs and presses his lips against mine.

Just then, I hear the front door open and Sharon and Boe come into the living room. The house has granted everybody access to it so now everybody can open the door themselves. Thank Goddess because it was annoying that I was the only one that could open it from the outside.

Sharon smiles brightly at us and says, "Hi, everybody. This is Boe. My mate." She's blushing, but her eyes are sparkling with life. So are Boe's.

Everybody introduces themselves before Shawn lifts me off his lap to go and shake his hand. "I'm Shawn. Sharon's older brother." Boe smiles at him. "Nice to meet you, man. Sorry that I'm just barging in, but she's..."

Shawn returns his smile and says, "your mate." Boe looks at Sharon with a big grin. "Yeah." Sharon blushes again and tugs a lock of hair behind her ear. "Join us. Do you want something to drink?" I ask.

"No, thank you," they both say at the same time.

Shawn sits down next to me and intertwines his fingers with mine. As always, his energy calms me down. Boe and Sharon sits down next to us on the couch while they keep looking deeply into each other's eyes, which makes me smile. I'm so happy for her. For them. Now they can be just as happy as me and Shawn.

Then I decide to try something. Closing my eyes, I try to send out some energy towards Boe to see if I can feel anything alarming about him. I've never done anything like this before, but I've learned to trust my instinct, and this feels like the way to do it.

Then I hear louds gasps. "Kira...?" Shawn squeezes my hand a little, making me open my eyes. A light green strand of energy is flowing out of my chest, up Boe's arm and into his chest.

Jumping up from the couch, I pull back the energy. "Oh shit. I'm so sorry. Are you alright?" My hands hover over his chest while I look all over his face and chest to see if he's okay. He looks at me with raised eyebrows and says, "uh, I'm fine. That felt... Intense."

"I'm so sorry. I was trying to... It's so stupid." I feel Shawn's big warm hand on my arm before he says, "baby, come here." He gently pulls me down onto his lap before he makes me lean against his chest. I take a deep breath and look at Boe again.

"I'm fine, Kira. I promise. But what was that?" he asks. I look down and fidget with my fingers. "Uhm, I was trying to see if I could sense something bad about you, but the forest let you in and I should've trusted that."

He looks at me confused. "Uh. The forest let me in?" Olea gives me a warm smile. "Yes. It's a whole thing I'm sure Sharon will fill you in on."

"Of course." She takes his hand and get up from the couch. "Come on. I'll tell you all about it."

Boe grins at her and follows her like a little excited puppy. When we hear the door to Sharon's room close, Olea turns to me. "So? Did you feel anything?" I shake my head. "Nothing bad. He seems like a good guy." Satisfied with my answer, she nods with a smile on her face.

Leaning more against Shawn's chest, I look at him. "I think I'll go to bed. Will you come with me?"

"Of course," He kisses the top of my head before we get up. Then I remember... "Oh shit. The beds. We should-."
