Luckily there was a backdoor in the room.
I looked over at Adrian, on the floor. This was for Anna, I could finally move on. I never had the chance to call her mom, the words were about to spill from my mouth before he shot her. That night kept playing in my mind, every second I let my mind wander, that night kept flooding back. This was my closure. The door opened and I immediately pointed my gun, Elena doing the same.
"Calm the fuck down, it's me" A familiar voice chuckled before came from the shadows
"Carlos, how the hell did you get here?" I asked, dropping my gun
"I told you if you were about to get your ass beat, I'd come somehow" The black haired prick gave a cocky grin
"Aren't you supposed to be in some island doing some random shit?" I asked
"You owe me for that, Mia is about to have my head for that"
"Whatever, is the coast clear?" I ask
"I got backup but we'll have to run out"
"Can't we get the car closer to a different exit" Elena suggested
"We don't know any other exits, we can't risk it" I explained
"To hell with that" She shrugged
"I like her, we'd make good pissing-off-Jake buddies" Carlos chuckled
"Shut the hell up will you?" I sneered
"You can finish that later" Elena snapped before turning around and going out the door
"You lot coming or I'm leaving you here!" She yelled, the sound of her heels clanking on the ground dissolving away
"Hold on" I said, now going after her
"She's pissed, the hell did you do?" Carlos asked, chuckling
"I told her to leave the room and let me handle Adrian" I explained with a tired expression
"She seduced Adrian didn't he?"
"Enough until I got there so he would call away his guards"
"You're whipped, hermano" Carlos chuckled
"Callate la boca" I snapped while speeding to where Elena was, weaving through the hallways and turning around at random points
"How do you know this place so well?" I ask
"You're not the only one who's one step ahead, I checked the full layout of the place and mapped out escape routes" She explained casually, making me want her more
"Elena is it?" Carlos asked
"Yes, you?" She replied, turning left on another passage
"I'm Carlos, Jake's underboss" He introduced
"Right"
"Anyway, I don't have the car here, we'll have to walk out" I reminded
"Shit" Carlos cussed
"Can't you call your driver to come by here?" Elena shrugged
"Phone's dead" I replied gravely
"Mine's at the hotel" Carlos added
"Do you remember the number?" Elena questioned desperately
"Who the fuck remembers nowadays" Carlos snickered
