“Laura please wait behind” Rafia called me back.
She looks so beautiful.
You know there is this special beautiful look that every bride has on her wedding day.
Rafia got married to the love of her life earlier today so you can imagine how happy she looks.
Yusuf too was just radiating happiness when he and his groomsmen came to take pictures with his bride after the knot was tied.
The wedding had been going on for almost a week with bridal shower, mothers eve, kamu, and other events I cannot remember what they are been called.I am not a fan of big wedding but I had to be at almost all those events because Rafia insisted since I was one of her bridesmaid.
I felt so out of place because all of her bridesmaid are either her childhood friend of friend from school.
Rafia just told her friends now that the groomsmen that will be taking everybody to the dinner venue are outside waiting.
One of the bridesmaid just couldn’t stop talking about Abdulrahim.
She kept talking about how she like him and how she is going to get his number.Everybody got tired of her blabbing so one on of the girls Sadiya put her in her place.
“Is he not the same guy that threatened to stop his car so you can get down on our way to the mothers eve the other day when you were disturbing him” Sadiya taunted her.
The girl got embarrassed that she had to keep quite.
I on the other hand was getting angry anytime she mentioned my Abdulrahim’s name.
Laura he is not yours he is just your boss I mentally scolded myself.Even if I am beginning to fall for him I have to remind myself that he is just my boss.
Yes I am in love with my boss, I couldn’t help but fall in love with him.
He is an amazing person and he have become so close with my grandmother.
He has been taking me home after work if he is not working late for almost a month now. Inna insist he stays over for dinner any time he brings me home and they will talk and chat for hours before he leaves.
She even told me once that she wish he could be her grandson.
He even took her one time to the hospital when she complained of leg pain and he footed all her bill.“Why are you asking me to stay back” I asked Rafia.
“Yusuf told me to tell you to stay back Abdul is coming to get you” she explained.
“oh and how are you getting to the venue” I asked her.
She laughed and told me she is the bride and she has to be at her own wedding and they are coming together.
Rafia and I got down there stairs together. People kept stopping us on the way to congratulate her.
With her big red ball gown its obvious she is a bride.
If I forgot to mention we are currently at a hotel which was where her and her friends have been staying ever since the wedding started except for me, I prefer to come from home.
This morning she went back to her parents house. And after the knot was tied they came back here.
I came back together with them since the makeup artist for the bridesmaid was also lodged in the hotel. And I wanted to have my makeup done by the artist.
We met them at the lobby. Yusuf couldn’t stop grinning and looking at his bride with love and adoration.
Abdulrahim came over to me and took the bag of my change of cloth I wore earlier from me before I could protest.
He led me to his car and opened it for me like a perfect gentleman that he is before getting in too, after we made sure the bride and groom where in thier car too with the driver.
There was shortage of one sit at the bridesmaid table and since I was the last person to get to the hall I had no sit.
Abdulrahim led me to another table.
“Anty Walida where is Yaya Hashim I thought you came together” he asked one of the women sitting at the table.
“He is with the kids at home I came alone” she replied.
“This is Laura please she will sit at your table” he gestured for me to sit on one of the empty chairs.
He brought out one of the chairs for me to sit and pushed it back slightly after i sat .
Such a gentle man. He doesn't even allow me to open the car door if we are together. The other woman at the table asked “Ya Abdul is this the Laura” she quoted The Laura.
What do she mean the Laura and she called him brother. Are this his sisters.
He confirmed it when he introduced them as his sisters after ignoring what the woman he called Bilkisu asked him.
“Where is my Ummi why is she not here yet” he asked the woman he called Anty Walida.
She pointed to an elderly woman coming our way.
" There she is"“Will you be okay here” he asked and I nodded
“I will be taking you home today so wait for me” he told me before going.
He went over to the woman and hug her. They both looked at me and smiled before he left to meet his friends at their table.
The woman came over and sat at one of the chairs too. I greeted her and she answered while smiling.
They started a conversation and tried to add me into it.
Before you know it the night was over. The newly wed had their first dance and the cake was cut.
Rafia was been taken to her husband’s house from there.
Abdul came over and told me to wait for him he needed to do something. After his mother and sister left.
His mother even told me to come and visit her if I am free. And I promised to.
A man who I recognize as a popular journalist from the tv sat down on now one of the empty chairs beside me.
“Why is a beautiful lady like you sitting alone when everybody is leaving” he asked me. oh my God I cannot believe he is talking to me.
Many ladies love him including my friend Hafsa.
She used to have a crush on him before she got married.Wait until I tell her that I did not only met her ex-crush but he spoke to me.
“Babe I am sorry I kept you waiting shall we go now” Abdulrahim came out of no where and ushered me out before I could even reply to the guy.
Sorry guys about the discription of the wedding i am not good at it.
But I know you get me right.
