ACT I: PART I
chapter 1: start

Xavier woke to the soft sounds of music and the sun leaking through the homemade curtains. He groaned softly and turned his head away, trying to get away from the sun. His hands were pulling a pillow to his face as he cuddled closer to the blankets around him.

"Good morning sleepyhead," a voice whispered.

He sighed softly, sitting up and smiling at the older male standing across the room. (Eddie was moving around as he was looking for clothes to wear for the day).

"Morning Eds," he grumbled.

His voice was groggy and he got off the bed walking towards the other side of the room. He wrapped his arms around the taller boys wasit as he was handed his shirt to put on and smiled softly.

"Do you have any plans today?" Eddie asked.

Xaiver shook his head, "Dustin's hanging out with his friends," he paused to think. "They're continuing their D&D campaign," he said and after a few more moments of silence, "I really think the two of you would get along nicely."

Eddie laughed and walked towards the other, grabbing him by his waist and pulling him close.

"You think so?" He whispered softly.

Xaiver nodded, "both of you are nerds." he whispered the last word dramtically and winked at the older boy.

Eddie gasped dramatically and the younger male chuckled.

"Youre also a nerd," Eddie retalited. "Mr. I read and annoate my books."

Xavier smiled and he watched as Eddie leaned down, it wasn't that much of a height difference but Eddie loved teasing him, making fun of the height difference. Eddie gave him a soft kiss, both of them smiling into it.

"Stay?" He whispered softly.

Xaiver nodded and laughed as Eddie walked the two of them back to his bed. The couple kissed once more and Xaiver laughed as Eddie traced his hands down to his waist, his stomach and as he started to tickle him.

Xavier hummed softly as he sat down on his desk and got ready to do his work. Sundays were the days that Dustin was at the Wheelers and played D&D. Once he was situated, he was frowning at his work, confused over the math problems in front of him. He spent all day with Eddie, the two of them in bed whispering to each other like children having a sleepover. He shook his head softly trying to get back on track with his homework. There was something, he deemed a while ago, that math had against him. He wasn't entirely sure what it was but anytime he talks to himself under his breath and he promises that math, mathematics has a grudge on him. He pushed himself away from his desk, putting his pencil down as he looked over to the clock. He should eat something he supposed. He walked out of his room, leaving the door open as his bare feet walked on the hardwood floors.

"Hi sweetie," his mom said. "Did you need something?"

Xaiver smiled at his mother and shook his head. "It's okay ma," he said. "I'm just hungry so I'll make myself something small."

He made two meals, and he chuckled softly, shaking his head. There was nothing wrong with that, he could always wrap up the other servering and put it away in the fridge or, he could wait until his little brother came home. If memory (and patterns) served him correctly, Dustin, was five minutes away and so, he sat at the table with the other plate waiting for him.

"Oh my god," he heard with the door opening. "Xavi, you would not believe what happened in todays campaign."

Xaiver smiled, the knot in his stomach disappearing in seeing his little brother safe and sound and most importantly home. Xaiver was adopted when Dustin was just about four years old. Xaiver had immediately ended up taking a liking to Dustin and he felt protective over him. Dustin always told him he didn't remember much, that to him Xavier was always in his memories. He supposes Dustin was right, for Dustin, Xavier has always been his older brother.
