I was in the car going back home with Ahmad Bhaijaan. He should be with Aleema, packing for his honeymoon trip but because all the males of our family were at office he had to drive me back.
It felt so good to be with my family though I missed others who couldn't be there because of office. With my family I forgot all the pain but when I'm on my way back all the thoughts are coming back.
I'm looking out of the window trying to distract my own self but my mind was taking me back to those unwanted thoughts.
I was worried. I was worried what if I get pregnant? I didn't wanted a child. Not because of some ridiculous reasons but for the betterment of that poor soul.
A child needs a happy environment to nurture in. They need their parents to love them. But in my case with a taunting mother-in-law always on my back and an abusing husband will my child grow up well?
The answer is no. The baby will face stress, depression, anxiety and only Allah knows what else. I don't want an innocent life to suffer from poor mental health.
I want my child to have all the happiness in this world. Just like any other mother. But if Hadi continues to be like this I will fail to fulfill my wishes.
What Hadi did today was a surprise to me. With time I had forgotten how my Hadi Bhaijaan used to be. With time he changed and I became distant from him. But after becoming my husband Hadi was a complete new being. He considered me as his property. But I'm his wife.
I know for a fact that Hadi will try to be a great father but he needs to be a good husband as well. Because when children see their own parents fighting it affects their mind and thinking processes.
What happened today was a small step towards the betterment of our relationship. But just on the basis of a small improvement I will not risk an unborn child's life. I would like to wait until our relationship gets better.
With all these thoughts I reached my home. Bhaijaan opened the door of car for me and I came out smiling warmly at him.
"Hamein acha laga ki aaj aap ayi. Iss hi tarah ate rahiyega. Hamein tasalli rahegi." He said patting my head with brotherly love.
After nodding my head in positive and bidding him goodbye I looked at the main entrance and found my husband staring intensely at me.
I walked towards him with a small yet nervous smile.
"What are you doing here at the gate?" I asked trying not to show my distress but I guess my voice failed me once again.
Simply giving me a last look he said in his hard tone; "Let's go inside." With that he ringed the doorbell and we were welcomed by Salima Phupho.

Kaisi teri khudgarzi
Lab namak rame na misri
Kaisi teri khudgarzi
Tujhe preet purani bisri..
Mast Maula, mast Kalander
Tu hawa ka ek bavandar
Bujh ke yun andar hi andar
Kyun reh gaya...~ ~ • ~ ~
