"Come and sit here Asahi" shouted an excited Noya as he patted the seat beside him.
Everyone had begun to sit in the large garden next to the pool to wait for Victor and Yuri's vow renewal but as Asahi's brother was part of the band who were set up near the front to provide music for the celebration, he thought that he'd be sitting alone.
Asahi smiled at the small libero and sat beside him, "thanks Noya." "No problem" the boy replied just as the music began. Everyone stood and watched Victor walk, smiling brightly down the aisle. "God, he's hot" gasped Asta, Noya's equally loud bestie. "He's okay" Noya replied. Asahi was a little confused, did his small friend like guys? No, that couldn't be right. He was in love with Kiyoko, wasn't he? However the large ace couldn't help the butterflies that he felt currently fluttering around his stomach.
The quiet ace had started to have feelings for the small libero the year before after a match against Date Tech had left him emotionally drained. Karasuno lost the match against them, however he knew that it was because of him. He had failed to score even one point for his team, it was embarrassing and he had just wanted to curl up in a ball and die. However Nishinoya Yu wouldn't allow it.
Asahi was now in his own private hell as he watched his excitable friend simp aggressively over their pretty manager. He did't blame him, she was beautiful inside and out but Asahi had never had any type of romantic feelings for anyone until his crush for his small friend started to develop.
Noya remembered the day that he had fallen for the teams ace but he hadn't seen it coming. He had always liked girls, especially Kiyoko, so he hadn't expected to have feelings for a man. Noya had always thought that he was straight until that day, 'I guess that means I'm bi' he said to himself shrugging his shoulders.
The evening before Noya had received a text from none other than Asahi's older brother Haruki and when he read it he was shocked to his core, it simply said "my brother has feelings for you that he's never gonna act on because he's scared. If there's a chance that you share those feelings please do something about it as this is tearing him apart."
Noya couldn't believe it as he side glanced at his large friend sitting beside him. "Go tell him bro" Asta, Noya's childhood best friend, whispered, "you deserve to be happy."
The service came to an end and everyone agreed that it was beautiful. "Okay everyone" Victor shouted, "let's party". The crowd stood and began to walk towards the other side of the garden where the stage and seating were set up.
Asahi was in the process of walking away when he felt his wrist being gently grasped by a smaller hand. He turned and saw a blushing Noya holding on to him. "Are you okay" the brunette asked the flustered Libero.
"Can we talk Asahi san?" Noya asked quietly. "Yeah, of course" the Ace replied, looking a little confused.
Noya took a deep breath and began, " I like you Asahi" "I like you too Noya, you're an amazing friend" he smiled. The smaller boy put his head in his hands and mumbled, "I don't mean like that." "Sorry Noya I couldn't hear you. What did you say?"
'Fuck, this is gonna be hard' Noya thought to himself before he plowed through with his confession. "Asahi, I've had romantic feelings for you for so long now. Will you be my boyfriend?"
