"Okay, I wanna run through it one more time."

After dropping off Lucas, Max and Erica, the teenagers drove in silence until they reached Forest Hills Trailer Park. Once there, Steve hid the RV in the woods, not wanting to draw any more attention to them.

"Phase one," Nancy was at the front of the RV, leading them, while the others were spread across the back.

"We're going to the playground to meet Erica," Mavis explained. "And then she's going to signal Lucas and Max when we're ready."

"Phase two."

"Max baits Vecna," Steve answered, not exactly thrilled by the idea of Max putting herself in danger. "He'll go after her, which'll put him in his trance."

"Phase three?"

"Me and Eddie draw the bats away," Dustin added, pointing at Eddie, who placed his hand on the younger's head in a playful manner.

"Four."

"We head into Vecna's hopefully newly bat-free lair, and..." Robin finished, holding up one of the Molotov cocktails her and Steve had prepared. "Flambé."

"Nobody moves on to the next phase until we've all copied," Nancy spoke. "Nobody deviates from the plan, no matter what. Got it?"

"Got it," the other five answered in unison.

And before they knew it, they left the RV, quietly headed over to Eddie's trailer. Steve led the group, with Mavis, Robin and Nancy close behind, while Dustin and Eddie were at the back. There was a palpable tension in the air, and Mavis was sure all her friends could feel it. This was it.

Once inside, Steve turned on the light as he took his bag off his shoulder and looked at the sheet-made-rope in front of him, taking a deep breath.

"Be careful," Dustin said.

"Thanks, buddy," Steve hit him gently in the shoulder before he adjusted his vest and glanced at Mavis, who sent him a smile. Then, he held onto the rope and started to climb. "Here goes nothing."
