A young boy sat in an empty white bathtub with his legs hanging over the side and his head pressed back against the faucet and his vacant eyes staring at the ceiling. It was always this way with him. He had no true joy in life except for one kid. The kid in his thoughts was originally mistaken as a ghost by him due to his albino like appearance. Everything about the boy interested him. To the least, he knew of the other boy's affection for him and didn't mind at first. His first love confession happened only a week ago and it was a week ago that he had last spoken to the albino boy. It was all because he confronted his other friends.

"Liking another guy? Dan, that's gay! It's too weird!'

"It's just... wrong. You can't be with him. Go date Rosie or someone but not him... not Zacharie."

Dan took a hand and ran it through his greasy brown hair as he sighed. He wanted to be with Zacharie but he had a reputation to keep up. Nothing can screw that up. He was too proud to have a tiny little slip up like that happened. True, he was only ten at this point but his family had high influence over their town and every little detail is known about them. In the midst of his thoughts, a tiny little knock on the door ruptured his mind.

"Dan?"

A small white head popped through the door with the young male's eyes darting from side to side trying to look for the other. "Dan?"

"I'm in the bathtub."

He heard a small shuffling of feet and noticed the frail young boy leaning over him with a happy expression. "How come you're always in the bathtub while you think?"

"I don't know. At least I'm not bathing right now." He muttered and sat up straight as he looked at Zacharie. He remembered the first time that they officially met outside of eye contract. Zacharie was constantly teased with his abnormal appearance and shy nature that was deemed too girly for a guy as stated by his father once. Zacharie being bullied was frequent and the other seemed to take it in stride. Dan wasn't alright with that and for once, someone stood up for Zacharie. His bewildered look actually made Dan scoff, amused. He's been sticking his ass out for Zachrie and had tried to change him to have at least some self confidence in himself to fight back. Zacharie seemed happy that there was someone by his side at least and then a few months afterwards came the confession. He still hadn't given the other an answer and that's what he's most likely here for. It was hard. To go by what he feels or his reputation. His feelings don't matter... Does it? It doesn't. It better if he lived for other people's reputation.

"Dan?" Zacharie tapped his shoulders. Dan stiffened up and looked at Zacharie. He finally made his decision. "Zacharie, you're just too weird." Dan stood up and Zacharie gave him a confused look. "What... What do you mean?"

"Look. I'm not into people like you! You're too weak and I don't swing that way! I know since we've been friends since we came to this school but I'm not like that. I'm not a faggot." Dan pushed Zacharie away him him and stormed out of the bathroom. It actually did hurt a great deal for Dan to say that to Zacharie but there's time to fit in things. Such as his new found hatred for Zacharie even if it was fake. He could be delusional all he wanted to keep his reputation.

Zacharie stood there confused. That wasn't like Dan at all... his one flooded with questions. What was he going to do? He was turned down by his only love interests. It wasn't like Dan and they both knew it. If Dan didn't like him like this then he's going to try harder for Dan and did what it took for Dan to like him again meaning... He's not going to give up loving Dan.
