We Meet Again

TW: torture

Lorelei eyes shoot open. She doesn't feel herself in Jennifer's embrace. Lorelei starts to freak out.
"Jennifer!" She shouts.
Lorelei jolts her body forward but is stopped by the restraints on her wrist. She looks around and notices she's in a dark room.

"Did you miss me?" Steve says from behind Lorelei.
Lorelei's heart suddenly drops.
Steve walks in front of Lorelei. Lorelei looks up at him with tears in her eyes.

"What? You thought you could get rid of me? Well just because you have a new FBI friend, you're never protected." Steve looks in Lorelei's eyes.
"I want to go back to Jennifer." Lorelei mutters.
"I want to go back to Jennifer. Oh well you're not gonna see her again." Steve mocks her.
Lorelei's heart drops even more.

Is she never gonna find a happy ending?

Is this the last place I'll ever see?

Am I never gonna see the FBI team that saved me?

Am I never gonna see Jennifer?

All these questions spread around her mind like a wildfire. Steve smiles at her manically. Lorelei cries even harder.

"Aww poor baby." Steve says before slapping Lorelei across the face as hard as his palm could.
Lorelei suddenly stops crying. She looks up at Steve angrily.

"I'm not a baby." Lorelei strictly says.
"Aww really. Then why are you crying."
"Because I'm strong."
"Who told you that?"
"Derek."
"Well I think Derek might've lied to you."

"No. He's right. You're wrong. You're just a insecure old man that doesn't have anything better to do than torture a kid, just because you lost your own. I see why the court decided to give Diana custody not you." Lorelei says strictly.

"How do you know about Diana?" Steve asks, braking from his strict tone.
"Did you already forget about my FBI friends? They're not stupid. I wish I could say the same about you."
"Where's Diana?" Steve slams his hand on the chair.
"She's with the FBI at the police station. And any minute now, they'll be knocking on this door."

Steve aggressively starts to untie Lorelei. He pulls her out of the chair. He throws her down to the ground. He repeatedly kicks at her stomach and face. He then picks her back up and hangs her up like he used to do for her punishment.

He lights a cigarette and paces around the room. Once he smokes enough, Steve puts out the cigarette on Lorelei's skin. He continues to do it until it's completely burnt out. Lorelei screams in pain, each and every burn feels more and more painful.
Steve then leaves the room.

The Police Department

"Did anything stand out Garcia?" JJ asks Garcia.
"I found out that Steve met someone on a dating app. Her name is Lauren Hays. I'm sending you her address now." Garcia hangs up.
The team gets ready to get in the vans.

Steve walks back into Lorelei's view. Lorelei looks up into his eyes. He smiles manically back. He then goes to untie Lorelei. Once he's done he puts handcuffs on Lorelei's hands. He then pushes her to the floor. Steve puts handcuffs on her feet too.

Steve crouches down in front of Lorelei.
"You're gonna wish you never escaped me." Steve whispers.
Suddenly, a woman comes into view. It was the girl that took Lorelei from JJ.
"Oh I bet I am." Lorelei mocks.

Steve stands up and kisses the girl.
"This time I have a helper. Now, you can't escape us." Steve let's go of the girl.
They both then start kicking Lorelei all over. They went so hard that Lorelei started bleeding all over. Her nose bled the worse.

They continue to kick over and over. Each hit makes it harder to breathe. Lorelei's face is covered in blood and tears.

Suddenly, it all goes black.

The BAU is driving to the scene. Derek, Emily, and JJ are in one car together. Emily looks back at JJ and she sees her messing with her nails and looking like she was about to cry.

"JJ." Emily mutters to get her attention.
"What?" JJ asks when she looks over at Emily.
"Are you ok?" Emily asks.
"I'm not quite sure." JJ stutters.

"Lorelei's gonna be fine. It's not in the profile that he would kill her. He feels attached to that little girl, in some twisted way, that's what keeps her alive." Emily comforts JJ.
"I'm just scared Em." JJ starts tearing up.
"I know and it's normal to be scared. You really want the best for that girl."
JJ just nods. Emily turns back around and they drive in peace.

5 minutes later

Lauren comes running into the room where Steve is.
"The FBI is here! You need to finish her off!" Lauren yells.
"No, they can have her. I'm done with this piece of shit. Let's get out of here quickly."

Steve and Lauren run out of the garage. They get in there getaway car.

"FBI!" Derek yells before kicking down the door. The team goes into the house. They look all around the house, no one's there.

"Hotch! There's a garage out there! She could be in there!" JJ shouts.
Before Hotch says anything, JJ goes running out the door.

She kicks down the door to the garage. She looks all around, no sight of Steve and Lauren. She spots Lorelei and she runs over to her.

JJ checks her pulse and it's faint but it's there. She's covered in blood. JJ asks for a medic in the garage on her speaker.

While JJ waits for the medic, she puts her hand on Lorelei's cheek. A tear escapes her eye.
"I'm so sorry, Lorelei." JJ cries even more.
She takes Lorelei out of the handcuffs.

The rest of the team come into the garage. They see JJ sitting next to Lorelei's limp and bloody body. They surround JJ. They all look pitifully at JJ crying next to Lorelei.

The paramedics come running into the room. JJ gets up and walks next to Emily. Emily hugs JJ and JJ brakes down.

"She has a pulse but it's faint. We need to get her to the hospital ASAP." The paramedic informs the team as they put Lorelei in a stretcher.
"Do any of you want to go with her in the ambulance. She's gonna need someone when she wakes up." The paramedic asks.
Hotch nods towards JJ.
"I will." JJ mutters.

JJ follows the paramedics. The rest of the team goes back to the vans.

Lorelei is pushed into the back of the ambulance. JJ climbs in before the paramedics shut the door and go to the front.

While in the back, a paramedic puts a oxygen mask on Lorelei. She also give her a IV.
"Do you know what happened to her?" The paramedic asks JJ.
"She was abducted and tortured. They left her when she was almost dead." JJ explains.
"She should be ok, but she'll need X-rays and tests." The paramedic explains.
"Ok." JJ mutters.

JJ grabs Lorelei's hand and squeezes it. Lorelei's eyes slowly open.
"Jenny?" She muttered.
"Yes, it's me." JJ smiles.
"Thank you." Lorelei mutters.
"Your welcome, now just relax we're almost at the hospital." JJ squeezes Lorelei's hand harder.
Lorelei nods.

At the hospital

JJ paces back and fourth in the waiting room. She's been waiting for 30 minutes. Suddenly, her phone starts ringing. She goes over and sees that it's Emily. She picks up.

"Hey, how's Lorelei?" Emily asks.
"She's getting tests and X-rays right now. She woke up in the ambulance. The paramedic said she should be fine." JJ explains.
"That's good." Emily says.
"Have you found any leads on where Steve and Lauren could be?" JJ asks.
"No, but Garcia is working on it." Emily answers.
"I hope you catch that son of a bitch." JJ mutters.
"Me too." Emily says.
"Ok, I will call you back when I get some information." JJ says.
"Bye."
"Bye." JJ hangs up.

JJ puts her phone back down on the waiting room chair. She continued to pace back and forth.

"Agent Jareau?" A doctor asks.
JJ looks over towards the doctor.
"I'm Doctor Giano. I wanted to inform you that Lorelei just got finished with all the tests. You can come back and see her."
"Ok thank you."
Doctor Giano brings JJ to Lorelei.
