The fight was followed by a long night of rounding up the remaining of Shuten's posse. With them now locked up and secured, everyone was able to sleep soundly and start to work on repairing the village.

Sarutomi had arrived two hours after the fight, and was the main reason Shuten's posse was all rounded up. She was also quick to apologize to her students for sending them against said oni, especially Adachi who lost his arm. Though he was quick to wave it off with his one good arm.

With that being said, everyone was still pulling their weight and helping repair the village. With Yuto and Shuta being the heavy lifters.

With effortless strength, Shuta lifted and broke a chunk of roof that had fallen off of a house, throwing it into the pile with other scraps.

Most of the houses were burned down while others had collapsed. Those that could be repaired were left alone.

Shockingly some houses had a certain blonde shaped hole going through them. Each in different poses.

Shuta clapped the dust in his hands away while doing his best to ignore the stares of the people behind him. He tried to make it a habit to ignore them, but it was harder now. They weren't scared or angry, they were unsure. I didn't even get used to the angry people, now I gotta deal with this.

Wiping the sweat from his brows, he left his post as he had finished what was asked of him. The remaining chunks of the building could be handled by the residents of the village.

As he made his way to the center of town, he looked over to where Yuto was. The blonde was working effectively, moving and breaking pieces almost three times his size.

Geez, Saru really needs to go easy on his strength training. He thought to himself as he kept walking.

The blonde has been going for twelve hours straight, keeping himself occupied from the moment reconstruction started. Hardly taking a single break even with the blaring sun.

He also got weird looks, though mostly ignored them despite looking uncomfortable.

Shuta let out a scoff and headed to the tent in the center of town. It was still summer, and incredibly hot. The fox seemed to be using her spells to keep the room colder than it should be, if the wall of ice was anything to go by.

Walking inside, the smell of soup and fresh bread assaulted his nose. The produce was used to make food for the workers, and the people who were effectively arrested.

Many of the normal yokai seemed eager to turn themselves in, as they were simply scared of 'Shuten' more than they actually believed in what he had to say. There were even some oni who were in a similar boat, as small as the number was.

People and yokai moved out of his way as he walked up, grabbed a bowl of soup and some bread, and sat down near the entrance.

He enjoyed his peace for only a few minutes before Yuto walked in and sat next to him. "Shouldn't you be out helping?" He asked.

Shuta shrugged his shoulders disinterestedly. "I did what was needed of me. They can handle the rest. Besides, one good deed doesn't change the reputation my name has."

The blonde let out a hum and nodded in agreement. "I suppose. Still, I thought you were above being affected by such things."

"I honestly prefer them being angry at me than just staring. At least then I can tell what they are thinking. Not to say I am not fine with that."

Yuto let out a hum and leaned comfortably against the wall of the tent. "Out of curiosity, why are the Douji clan the de facto leaders of the Oni? I noticed that other oni didn't have the purple tipped horns like you and Shuten." It was a minor detail he noticed when fighting other oni.
