If you're reading this... then I'm dead. I never wanted to leave you but life isn't fair. I went to Vegas, I had to drop off a package and I tracked Maria there.
She told me she was going to visit a cousin of hers. She obviously lied. I found out a couple days ago that she was planning on running away. You can't out run the drug life.
She was going to become a traitor. I wanted to talk some sense into her. Maybe she finally snapped and killed me or someone else did.
I wouldn't put it past that street rat, Marcus.
Enough about them, this isn't a letter asking you to avenge me. I don't need you getting into trouble because of me.
Am I selfish to be thankful that I'm the dead one? I couldn't survive without you.
You're strong, Vanessa. You're so fucking strong, which is why I know you'll be able to overcome my death.
I had a surprise for you, it's under my bed in my room. I bought it a couple weeks ago when I killed a guy.
It's a ring.
I engraved our names on the inside of the ring. I wanted you to always have a part of me with you. I was supposed to give it to you for our six years of friendship anniversary.
I was also going to ask you to be mine.
Officially.
I think deep down, I've never really loved Maria. I only dated her because that's why my father wanted. That's what was expected of me.
But it's you. It's you that's had my heart captivated for so many years. It's you that's had my heart running laps every time I see you or talk to you.
The few days that we didn't speak was hell. It felt like a knife was being plunged into my chest over and over again.
I know you might think I'm playing with your feelings, but I'm not.
I love you.
I love you more then life itself. I'd rather love you then ever breath again. I can't think of a life where you aren't in it.
And if alternative universes exists, then I hope we meet again and have our happy ending.
Because we deserve it.
But for now, I'm going to watch over you and make sure you don't do anything stupid.
