Chapter 8: Attempts to Connect to the Shredmasters

For the next one week, the Daniels have been trying their hardest to talk things out and get through to the Shredmasters. Especially Razzy. They did numerous attempts, but it did not go well.

One time, a day after the concert, Diona, her family and the rest of the whole gang were celebrating their after-concert-party in Tom's World arcade. Games like claw, basketball hoops and those that can earn them more tokens were played.

While Diona was watching how Ralpha and Ray were shooting hoops (Rhea was hanging out with Celia), her head naturally turned to her left. There she was. Right before her. Just outside Tom's World were Razzy and Seth. She couldn't make out what they're talking about, but Seth seemed to talk things out with Razzy.

Diona then, walked closer to the conversation, her feet halting near the entrance. Words of declination were heard from Razzy as Seth's words of concern and respect were launched directly towards her. After a few moments of chatting, the two left.

As they brushed past Diona, her arm reached out in Razzy's reaction. "Hey, I'm sorry about what happened. I—"

Razzy's head snapped towards her. "It's none of your business."

With that, Razzy continued going her way with her elder brother.

As Diona watched her walk away, a sigh escaped her mouth. Her eyes were full of concern. With nothing else to do, she walked her way back to the basketball game where Ray and Ralpha were still playing. That time, it was 30 seconds left before the game was over.

In the end, it was Ray who got the highest score. 32. With Ralpha being 20 points.

Upon finding out that Ray won, Ralpha turned to him. "Hey! No fair!" he said, glaring at him playfully.

"It's just a game, Ralpha," Ray said. Then, his hand landed on his right shoulder. "Don't worry. You'll get it next time."

"Well, yeah. I hope."

With that, the three Daniels went to check on Rhea, Celia and the rest of the whole gang to see how they're doing.

Another time, Ray was seen praying to God that night, asking Him for guidance upon the Shredmasters. After his prayer ended, he tucked himself in bed with Diona and drifted off to sleep.

The next day, Ray and his family were at SM North EDSA. While Diona, Ralpha and Rhea were walking around the mall, Ray was seen in the parking space, located on the top floor. No person was around and a few cars were present.

Ray called Daniel LaRusso and asked him how he got through to Robby. After he heard a reply on how Daniel met Robby and how he went on a journey with him before the brawl, Ray thanked him before the call ended.

When Ray met up with the rest of the Daniels, they went to the Food Court to discuss about the ways to get through to the Shredmasters and talk things out with them.

Ahead of Ray was Diona. On his right was Ralpha while on the other side was Rhea.

During the discussion, Ray tilted his head at what he just saw. Razzy and Seth were eating snacks. Ray thought about the right time to get through to them. After a few moments, he shrugged it off and continued on with the discussion.

Later on, the time became 6pm. Ray had asked the Daniels to wait for him because he was going to the CR. And after his time in the CR and washing his hands, he was about to exit the Men's restroom when he saw something at the door. Or should I say... someone?

His eyes widened at the sight before him. He was now face-to-face with Seth Dylan Shredmaster himself.

"Oh. Um, hi. What are you doing here?" Ray asked him.
