"i can't believe that you accepted to live with the mess that is nct for one week..."

"i-i... i just want to help..."

"but still... one week with those... those crazy beasts... i'm not sure you are going to survive."

"daeho, will you please stop scaring him?" namkyu asked with a sigh as he glanced at his boyfriend once he had stopped at a red light.

shotaro was currently in a car with nct and exo's managers, heading to the nct dorms where he would be introduced to the members. he had packed all the stuff he would need in a suitcase and said goodbye to his sister and her boyfriend with whom he would be living again in a week.

"sorry, shotaro i didn't want to scare you." daeho said, looking at the omega through the rear-view mirror. "but yeah, i just got worried. you're so cute and so tiny... aren't you scared of coming to live with 22 alphas?"

"w-well..." shotaro gulped. "i-i am, but m-mister kang said that he would make sure nothing happened to me."

daeho blinked. "who the hell?" he frowned. "oh, wait. mister kang?!"

namkyu sighed as his boyfriend burst out laughing loudly while pointing at him, confusing the omega on the back seat.

"h-he... he's calling you 'mister kang'?!" daeho said between his laughs.

"yeah, he does have respect for me compared to your ungrateful ass." namkyu tsked at his boyfriend.

"please shotaro, don't dare calling me 'mister il', alright? call me 'daeho', no need for formalities."daeho ignored his boyfriend, turning around to look at the omega in the eye. "and you can call him 'namkyu' too, don't worry."

"i told him he could a few times already, but he prefers to stick to 'mister kang'." namkyu explained keeping his eyes focused on the road.

"oh." daeho frowned. "well, keep calling him 'mister kang' but stick to 'daeho' for me. 'mister il' makes me feel like i'm 50 which i am not, i assure you i'm not that old."

on the back seat shotaro nodded shyly, not really knowing what to answer or how to act.

he wasn't used to hanging around adults that weren't his sister or hawoon. being an omega, he didn't go out much and was always reticent to meeting new people, scared of what could happen to him, and too scared to say something bad that would anger them. also, the fact he had lost his parents at a young age had caused him to live only around young adults who had been forced to leave their teenage dream earlier.

and so, all of these elements had caused shotaro not to be around adults much and to be very hesitant and scared whenever he had to interact with one.

thankfully, namkyu had been really kind and comprehensive with him, and it seemed like daeho was a big teenager locked in the body of an adult.

"are you nervous to meet the boys?" namkyu asked once his boyfriend had stopped talking, looking at shotaro through the inside mirror.

"y-yes." shotaro nodded. the question was rather stupid. how could shotaro – who was stressed by everything and anything – not be nervous at the idea of meeting 22 alphas?

"you shouldn't be. i'm sure they will all be very glad to meet you." namkyu informed, thinking again about the day all the boys had sniffed their drinks to have a glimpse of the omega's smell.

"yeah, i've seen how weird you make them. it's impressive, really. knowing how annoying and angry they can be... you have some kind of magic power..." daeho approved his boyfrind's words.
