My name is Princess Pavinton Luvita from TRANST kingdom and I am the third child of king and queen DiMA. I have 3 siblings; two oldest and one younger than me. In my kingdom if you want to be the next king or queen for example like me you have to participate in the one month competition with all the royal families that want to be too and that would be my older brother Eric, my younger sister Janet and few of my cousins. My second born brother Dave,the one I follow in order of birth, was not interested and his exact words were," I hate politics" so he was terminated by default.
When I told my family I was participating, some were not surprised,some were but some like my dad didn't approve.
**********Flash back***********
We were all in the dining room eating our supper when my dad started the conversation.
"The competition starts next week, get ready this will be the toughest one I have ever seen."
"Yes" everyone answered boredly since that's all dad could talk about for the whole week.
"Dave,honey are you really sure you don't want to participate?"my mom asked Dave in a motherly tone like he was a toddler.
"Yes. For the hundredth time am not interested in politics i..."
"Want to be a famous farmer!" Some of us finished his statement already knowing his usual answer.
"Exactly!" Dave said with a bright smile making me smile at how happy he looked when he talks about what he likes.
"Just wanted to make sure."mother said.
The conversations continued and since I couldn't keep a secret anymore, I bluntly said it in one breath.
"I registered as a competitor."
"Can anyone say anything?" I asked after some few moments of silence. I looked at everyone and realized that they seemed unbothered but they were all looking at dad including mom.
"No!!" That's all dad said and started eating again like I never said anything.
"I wasn't asking and it's not your decision to make plus rules are rules you have to accept!" I confidently said.
In all my years knowing dad, there is only one way to defeat him. Using his cards against him and I was prepared.
"I don't care about rules, the answer is still no!!" He snapped!!
"And why is that. Last time I checked when you were teaching me the rules of the kingdom, I have the right to if I want to." I challenged.
My dad and I started to have a stare contest and I guess everyone was afraid to face dad's rath, some of them stormed out leaving my mom and younger sister with us.
"Honey come down. Even if you don't accept it, she is telling the truth!!" My mum said soothingly while rubbing my dad's back.
"But she is our little girl, she will get hurt!" Dad faced mum and you could hear the vulnerability in his voice which almost made me want to quit. Almost.
"Am your little girl!!" My sister interrupted.
"Not now Janet!"dad said rubbing his forehead.
After a long whisper talk with my mom, dad accepted.
"If she joins, I join too." Janet said interrupting my twenty minutes of happiness earning a glare from me.
"No!!" Mom answered immediately.
"Why not? She can but I can't? That's not fair!" Janet snapped.
"Hunny remember your own words." Dad told mum smirking earning a glare from mom.
"Fine...only if I prepare you myself, I don't trust anyone here!"

And that's how it was decided.
