"Coco!"
"What happened mama?!" I yelled coming down the hallway. She handed me a fifty dollar bill and told me to go to the store. "Mama why I gotta go?" I asked her. She knew I was tired from work and she got me running errands for her.
"Cause I said so! I'm the momma and you the child. So get your ass on." She semi yelled. I secretly rolled my eyes as I put on a light sweater and headed out the door. I walked to the super market and grabbed a shopping cart. I grabbed the ingredients that I was instructed to get. I wasn't paying attention to much because I was irritated. I didn't even want to come here in the first place. I was throwing things in the shopping cart when I rammed into someone and me, the person, and the shopping cart came tumbling down.
I quickly got up and became frantic as I looked around and asked the guy was he ok.
"Oh my god I'm so sorry, I really am I don't know what happened. I wasn't paying attention I was so stupid for that, oh my god." I babbled on. I was so careless sometimes and I hated that part about myself.
"Its iight babeh, but we are gone have to talk bout yuh and ya driver's licenses though." The guy said in a southern accent as he chuckled. I finally looked up and took notice in the beautifully sculpted man in front of me. I don't know which one excited me more his smooth caramel skin, those pink juicy lips, his chiseled jawline, those tattoos, his confidence that spilled out of him or that accent, oh my god that accent...
He continued to talk to me and I was just so lost that I just nodded with every word he said.
His lips were moving, but no words were coming out. "Yea..." I said replying to him. The more I looked at him the more the butterflies in my stomach flew. I didn't know how to feel about this right now.
The young man continued to talk to a dazed out Coco. He asked her many questions, one of them being if she wanted to go to the hospital, and if she was hurt. With every word he spoke she continued to nod.
"Yuh sure yuh want to go to the docta. Yuh don't look hurt to me." He said examining her. She just continuously nodded her head and he laughed as he caught on to what was happening. He took Coco's hand in his and caressed it softly. After awhile Coco snapped out of her trance and picked up her stuff. The young man helped her with everything and he started up a small conversations with her.
"What's ya name babeh?" He asked me. I smiled and said "My name is Coco."
"I'm August, but people call me Aug or Youngin'" he said. I nodded my head as we made our way to the line.
"How old are you August?" I asked curious. "Seventeen, you?" He asked me.
"I'm sixteen." He nodded his head and smiled the most beautiful smile ever. I was next in line as an older lady in her forties rung up my items. I was walking out the store after paying for my items and I got those butterflies again. I couldn't help but to turn around and wonder if I should stay and wait for him or keep it pushing? I shouldn't even stay, it's not like he would want a chubby girl like me. He kinda look like the type to not like big girls. So I thought against waiting for him and I kept walking.
