Chapter 18: Unpretty

Today Coco was suppose to do her photoshoot and of course our daughter and I were gone be there to show her mama some support. I know she was feeling riled up and uneasy about everything, but her seeing us there should make her worries go always and keep her body calm.

I woke babyguhl up with a bunch of kisses and she giggled draping he earns around me and hugging me. "Daddy is it time to get ready for mommy's shoot?" She asked. I nodded my head and smiled "Yea ma'am an' mommy's almost ready now we just need ta get ya ready guhl." He said before lifting her up off the bed to take her in the bathroom to bathe. While she was being bathed  I noticed a small frown on her face "Cam what's wrong babeh." She looked up at me with those brown pretty eyes and asked "Daddy do you think I'm pretty?" I looked at her like she was crazy then I said "Of course I think you're pretty. You're gorgeous babeh girl. What made you ask daddy that?" She shrug her shoulders and said "People in my class call me ugly all the time and then I see people call mommy ugly. I just feel sad a lot daddy. Why do people call us ugly." My heart broke for my daughter and what she was saying. I lifted her chin ta look at me and said "Babeh girl forget them. Ya gone always have hater that's gone call you all types of things that aren't true, but you have to be strong enough to defend yaself  and show them how wrong they are. You and ya momma are beyond gorgeous and I tell y'all that everyday. Don't let anyone tell you anything or pick on ya, if they do tell me and I'll beat em up." I kissed her forehead and she gave me a small smile as she giggled. I finished cleaning her off and got her dressed. I gave her a daddy bun, put her in a shirt that said Pretty, some shorts, and sandals. I wanted my girls to feel pretty today no matter what.

Once Coco was done getting ready we got in the car and drove to the photoshoot location. We arrived at this nice building and rode all the way to the 58th floor. Coco lead us to the door that everything was suppose to take place. Once she twisted the knob and walked in their was an older looking lady standing there looking at some models take pictures. Coco went up to her and hugged her, the woman hugged her back and looked very happy to see her. They were conversing until they looked at Camry an' me. She walked over to us with her hand stuck out. "Mr.Alsina it's nice to finally meet you. Coco talks about you all the time." She said. I gave a cheesy grin while looking at her then Coco. "Nice to meet you too Michelle." I said shaking her hand. "Oh please call me Chelly, I'm starting to hate my name being associated with such a rude and irritating person." She said referring to Coco's ex friend. I chuckled as she bent down in front of Camry. "Hi gorgeous, I've heard so much about you too." She said. "You think I'm pretty?" Camry asked her shocked. Chelly nodded her head yes. "Why wouldn't I?" She questioned. "Because the kids at school think I'm ugly." She said getting sad again. Chelly frowned and said "Well we'll just have to changed their minds won't we?" She smiled and stood up.

We all looked confused as she told Coco to go get changed into the first outfit she had to wear. While Coco was gone Chelly looked at me and gave me a worried look. "What happened?" I asked her. She let out a breath then said "We have another model today."
