Staring at a screen
I can't help but feel lonely.
When the feeling of despair takes over
I look outside, and ponder
Why this feeling has arose
Into me, i do wonder.
*DING DONG*
"Well good morning kiddos! Ready to start a new day at this school?! Head into the cafeteria for some nommies!"
Ugh.
Lance thought to himself, Hearing the wake up call.
'So it wasnt a nightmare, huh.'
He got dressed, and left the dorm room. He saw multiple people coming out of their dorms, While He saw Kiki curled up on the floor next to a door.
He decided to walk over to her, to wake her up.
"Hey, Wake up.." He said, nudging her slightly.
She slowly opened her eyes, looking up at him, but not replying.
"Hey there, Kiki. Wanna come to the cafeteria? Eat?" He said gently. Kiki perked up in excitement when she heard the word 'Eat', but then went back down.
"W-who are we eating...?" She asked as Lance went back in surprise. "We aren't eating anyone! We're going to eat food! Not a person!"
She looked at him, relieved.
"Oh, good." She mumbled. Lance looking around as he saw Fritz leaving a dorm room, adjusting his glasses.
Lance looked over to Kiki. "Hey.. mind if i go talk to the chubby red haired boy with glasses?" He asked in a friendly tone, Kiki shaking her head no.
He walked over to Fritz, Making sure not to alarm him. "Hey." He said, making Fritz look at him in surprise.
"Oh! Hello, Lance. Good morning." He replied with a smile. "How are you this morning?"
"Breathing." Lance said in return. "That's good, Especially in this scenario. I was on my way to the cafeteria. wanna come?"
"In a few minutes maybe, I'm going to bring Kiki as well." Lance said, pointing to the girl.
Fritz looked at Kiki, then at Lance. "A child? What's she doing here?" He asked, clearly concerned as Lance sighed heavily. "Even i don't know. I guess she was another hostage for someone at Faiths Peak."
Fritz looked down in disappointment. "I guess that'd make sense. Poor girl..." He said gloomily, making Lance pat his shoulder. "I'm sure all will be okay. Being pessimistic won't help anything, will it?"
Fritz Smiled and nodded. "I suppose you're right, But I can't help but wonder things. Are we even hostages for the people at Faiths Peak or are they just using that as an excuse?"
Lance thought to himself. Processing what Fritz had said.
'An excuse?' He thought. 'why would they use it as an excuse?'
