Uswnt vs Netherland had been a game you had been waiting for this for months. It was always been a challenge and you also got to catch up with one of your best-friends
, tobin heath.
You had met tobin when you were in the USA visiting family and you had been friends since.
After landing is usa, the entire team walked to the field before following the guide to to changeing room.You decided to stay on the pitch a bit long , to get a feel for it.
You walked around the pitch looking up at all the empty seats that in 2 day would be filled with people. Some people here to cheer you on and some people to wish you fail.
Meanwhile the uswnt make their way onto the field , surprised to see a Netherlands player still on the pitch.
"I thought they were done" kelly asks pointing to you on the other side of the pitch.
The other players just shrug, not having an answer.
Alex and christen watch in shock as tobin runs off toward you.
"What is she doing" Alex ask
Kelly shrugs, until it clicks "that might be y/n y/l/n"
"Really??"
Kelly just nods as Alex just stare in disbelief as tobin jump on you back taking you down to the ground.
They all approach you asking how you and tobin knew each other. After explain, tobin finally introduces you.
Your pulled out of conversation when
"Y/l/n" viv yell knowing its the only way to get your attention.
"Thats my question. It was lovely to meet u all. Hopefully you do hate me too much after the game."
"Why would we hate you." Kelly asks
You turn and look at her and say "we're gonna, how do you Americans say it.." "oh yeah ... kick you ass." You say in your most American accent.
"Shes confidant" ash says
"Can you blame her, I mean look at her." Alex says
"Aww does little alex have a crush." Kelly teases.
Alex doesn't reply giving her the answer she was looking for.
"Oh god. You do , this is gonna be fun." Kelly teases.
The whole team start walking back to their hotel rooms, but as Alex was about to walk back. Tobin pulls her aside.
"You should definitely get to know her , she's the nicest person you'll ever meet." Tobin paused for a second before saying.
"for what its worth she also has a little crush on you."

It was game day and you were all pumped.
"You ready?" Vivian asks.
"Almost" you respond tying
"No showing of today" you are confused at her request and she picks up on it straight away. And says
"You've been flirting with Alex for the past 2 days on Instagram. "
You try to argue but realise there is no point, she was right. You'd been thinking about alex all day. Like viv said you can flirt with Alex all you want after the game but right know Alex had to be at the back of you mind.
The match was physical straight of the bat. And soon enough you find yourself on the ground, after being tackled by Kelly. You were up as quick as you were down.
It was 1-1 at 80 minutes. Its the 89th minute and you cross the the into viv who gets her head to it and scores the winning goal. You all run and jump on viv, unaware that Alex is watching you from a distance.
"Go talk to her " Kelly says hiding behind Alex.
"I would go with you but her friends might just kill me"
After catching up with tobin, you feel a tap on you shoulder. You turn around to see ash.
"Hey me and my team are having a party at mine and ali house."she asks you.
You were surprised as you had just beat her.
You tell her to get you number of tobin , to text her the time and address of the party.

Standing infornt of ash and alis door u debate whether to leave and say something cam up or not, as u were much more confident in your kit.
Before you can leave tobin opens the door and says
"Why r u stood there"
You just shrug your shoulders.
"OH c'mon don't go all quietnow.Everyonewants to meet the girl I'm always talking about."
Tobin says grabbing your hand dragging you to the back garden where everyone is.
"Y/n you came" Alex says surprised.
"I almost didnt" you say truthfully.
Soon you all find yourself playing truth or dare.
"Truth or dare" tobin asks u.
"Truth" you respond.
"Do u like Alex."
"Well there no point in lying... yes I do like Alex "
Everyone disappears into their different group leaving u and Alex alone.
"Do u really mean what you said" Alex asks
"Well yeah. Your really pretty, kind and your just perfect in general"
"You don't mean that"
"Yes I do" you say leaning In to kiss her.
Pulling back after a minute she says
"When do you go back to the Netherlands?"
"2 days ... why?" You ask
"Because I wanted to know if you wanted to go out for breakfast tomorrow?"
"Like a date?"
"I guess you could say its a date"
"Its a date. So I guess I'll see you tomorrow then."
