Lucas

After Murray left to go back to his lab, me and Max watched TV in his living room. We didn't say a single word to each other and it was getting awkward, especially what we did last night. Finally, I said something.

Lucas - "So um, you still like reading Sherlock Holmes?"

Max - "Yes, I'm still reading them."

Lucas - "Cool. Before I got turned, I started working at the pool."

Max - "Really? What did you do?"

Lucas - "Lifeguard."

Max - "You're kidding me. You we're the lifeguard and you were shirtless?"

Lucas - "Of course I was."

Max - "Did you give anyone CPR? Girls too?"

Lucas - "Yes, I saved people who were drowning, especially girls. Why, are you jealous?"

Max - "No." (Chuckle)

Lucas - "It's sounds like you are." (Chuckle)

Max - "I'm not. Really, I'm not. (Chuckle) Okay, maybe I am just a little bit."

Lucas - "I knew it!" (Chuckle)

Max - "Shut up!" (Chuckle)

Lucas - "When we get back to normal, I'll go back to leaving you alone. I feel like messed up a lot by not telling you and - "

Max - "Lucas, it's okay. I forgive you. No matter what, we're going get through this together."

We both smiled.
