19| Confrontation

Chaitanya-

As I reached the office, I was relieved. I felt light, ease, a surreal feeling surrounded me.

'Ruhi, today you owe me the explanations.' I uttered to myself.

Dhruv called me to inform me that Ruhi left from her office. After working for some more hours I too left the office. I was preparing myself the whole way thinking how to talk with Ruhi.

Reaching there, Dhruv started his interrogation. I told him everything regarding today's conversation with Kaylee. He was on cloud nine after hearing me.

"Well! Settle your matter quickly." He winked at me and went to the dining hall.

After dinner, Ruhi quickly dashed into the room. After some minutes, I entered the room. She was pretending to be in a deep slumber.

"Ruhi!" I called out her name. But she didn't respond to me.

"RUHI! I want to talk to you. It's important. I know you are not sleeping." Still she didn't wake up.

"Okay! By the way, your Canada mansion is no longer dearer to you. I guess!" This statement was enough to make her sit on the place.

Her eyes were widened in shock.

"Sorry to disturb you. But you can sleep now. Good night!" saying this I switched off the light. Her expressions made me laugh but I controlled myself, not showing her otherwise she would be pulling my hair now. I mentally laughed imagining it.

"What did you say?" she asked loudly.

"Ohh! Are we back on talking terms?" After hearing her, I felt satisfied. 'Chayi don't let this opportunity miss' I thought to myself.

She laid down on the couch again ignoring me.

"Ruhi!" I went near her and kneeled down in front of her. I removed the comforter from her face and made her face me.

"I'm sleepy Mr. Reddy. So please leave." She whispered, closing her eyes.

"I'll let you sleep but please talk to me once." I pleaded.

She got up and sat on the couch facing me.

"What do you want to talk about? I guess we had enough conversation that day." She said, looking away from me.

"I'm Sorry! I know I blurted out in anger which is very wrong but I can't bear your ignorance towards me. I'm used to chatting about my day with you. I'm ready to rectify my mistake. I promise I won't repeat this again in future." Saying this I held her hands in my hand.

"How can I trust you?" she muttered.

"I know it will take time but at least you don't neglect me completely." Saying this I got up from there and took the file and handed it to her.

"How did you come to know about this?" as expected she asked me.

"Kaylee told me and while giving this she –''

"Ohh man! How can she do this to me? I told her to not tell about this to you And she..." she facepalm.

I chuckled at her reaction. She glared at me.

"Ruhi, we parted our ways on a good note forever. And I'm feeling so light weighted that I can't express my happiness. I think I should have settled this matter before maturely. I was an asshole. Everything will be perfect, if you are back to your feistiness." I was smiling unknowingly while expressing my feelings.

"Hmm!" she just hummed. Like seriously?

I picked her up in my arms in Bridal style.

"What the hell? Let me go." She nearly shouted in my ears while smacking hard on my chest with her small fist.
