The day came, the Warriors were playing the Vikings.

Brooke pulled in with the 4×4 jeep her dad lended her for the day.
He surprisingly let them go watch the game by themselves but his team sort of laughed and bashed them for going to watch the 'losers.'

"Holy shit Karma, isn't that him?" Brooke said as she got the fruit bars and power drinks for them and the boys. "No way." Karma said knowing Conner would be pissed.
She sighed and helped Brooke with the things as they walked in behind him.
"Hi Beth-." Brooke was a little shook at the quilt or whatever it was she was sharing with Jamie.
"Oh hi guys."
Karma smiled politely and finished Brooke's sentence.
Beth nodded and took the bar's from the girls while they sat two rows up a little ways from them.

"Jamie I feel kind of dumb wearing this you know."

"What it's cozyy. Plus it's melting m&m's in my pocket, see."

"Yeah but everyone's staring at us."

"They're not staring at us, they're staring at you ex husband."

"What? Sean?!"

Karma and Brooke were glancing at the scene. "Ouui, your boyfriend isn't gunna be pleased."
"Shut up, he isn't my boyfriend."
"Yet." Brooke winked.
"Brooke!" Karma said trying to stay mad but couldn't as she was blushing.
"See what'd I tell you!" She said feeling victorious.
"Oh shut up, Mrs. Haire."
"Oh your on."

"And that'll do it, looks like the warriors will be saving on some electricity yet again."

"Hey is Marcose ok." Brooke said as they were heading on the bottom of the bleachers. "He must be bummed out, surprised no ones interested in him yet though."
"Oh I'm sure they're's a few."

The girls placed the extra things they didn't need in the car and split up going to the boys they knew best.
"Hey." Karma said knowing he seemed a little bummed out by once again another loss. Conner hummed a reply back and took off his upper gear leaving him in the under blue shirt, 3 quarter pants and socks.
She handed him the drink and he took it gently despite everything built up on his mind.
Karma sighed and stood up. She took the things out of his hands and placed them on the bench.
She moved his hands to hug her lower back and she placed her's around his neck. "It'll work out, I promise. Me and Brooke believe in this team." She said softly into his ear. Conner simply laid his head on her shoulder and sunk into her touch, he loved every bit of it.

Karma gently pulled away from the hug and got her water bottle. Before she left she butt into his mom. "Hi dear, we're having a barbeque tomorrow at 3 o clock invite Brooke."
"Ok, we'll see you there. Thanks for inviting us." She smiled and left.

"Hey Con."
"What are you doing here." He said in a very nonchalant voice.
"Wow, glad everybody's happy to see me."
"Oh, he didn't mean it like that. Did you honey."

Conner didn't say anything but resumed what he was doing.

Sean cut the silence loose again. "Hey uh, you played a great game out there."
"We lost zero to forty."
"No I mean you, you were great. Hey uh, I was maybe thinking we could get some time together, maybe we could catch up."
Conner just...walked away.

Karma sighed watching from a distance and walking to the car.

"Hey look, we're having a barbeque tomorrow for his teammates, why don't you come by." Beth said smiling sadly.
Sean agreed and everyone called it an evening.
