"ALRIGHT LITTLE SHITS, I GOTTA GET MY CAR FIXED BEFORE THE CAMPAIGN. SO WE'LL STOP AT THE MECHANIC'S DOWN THE ROAD. YOU COMING WITH ME OR YOU WALK TO SCHOOL ON YOUR OWN. YOUR CHOICE."

A chorus of 'with you's erupted in the van, causing Eddie to nod and start driving slowly.

Little further down the road, I realized whose this place was.

Harmony's.

My girlfriend owns this place. And unfortunately I hadn't told any of them.
As a matter of fact, they hadn't even met her yet. They all thought she was at a boarding school in Canada.

Good one Dustin.

Therefore I needed to find a way to explain without them killing me with a torque wrench.

What?

It would suit the environment we will be at!

"We're here, get off."

Oh no.

I walked out of the car, sweat running down my back.

And then I saw her.

Her long, brown hair caught up in a messy bun. Her blue overall.

She was beautiful.

Even with all the black marks on her face.

"Hey, uh, something's wrong with my baby." Eddie said, approaching Harmony, who was currently occupying herself with a car's engine. "Could you check her out?"

"Sure thing." She got up, turning around to face us, her jaw dropping when her eyes met mine. "Dustin?"

"Hey." I waved sheepishly, as she smiled widely and came over to give me a kiss.

"What are you doing here? You didn't tell me you were coming!"

"Yeah, well, Eddie's car's broken and he said we would go to a garage down the road, didn't think it would be yours." I explained.

"Wait, what am I missing?" Gareth asked.

"You haven't told them about me?" She asked, folding her arms in front of her chest.

"No I-I have, just-"

"No he hasn't." Mike said coming forward.

"He told us you were a nerd in a boarding school in Canada. Not some super cool chick with her own mechanic's garage." Eddie piped in.

She raised her eyebrows looking at me, waiting for an explanation.

This was gonna go very well.

After a long while of me explaining, Harmony attended Eddie's car.

Turns out they didn't get as mad as I thought but I still had my reservations for later alone time with any of them.

"Yep, just what I thought. Your engine's overheated."

"What'd you mean?" Eddie asked.

"I mean, your engine's overheated. It's summer. The process of combusting power out of an engine is piping hot and in order to keep the heat optimum for efficient combustion, components like radiators are there at the engine's disposal."

We all looked at her like she was an alien.

"Alright let me explain. So, while driving if your car’s temp gauge goes all red and your car’s engine is overheating unusually, then it is certain that there’s something wrong with your car’s cooling system."

"S-So how do we fix that?" Eddie asked sheepishly, scratching the back of his neck.

"I'll just check the AC system and the water in your fridge."

"O-Okay, my house is down the road." He pointed towards where we came from making me face palm.

"I mean, your engine's compressor fridge." She giggled. "It'll only take a minute."

It did take a minute.

She put some of that magic, mechanic water they have in his engine to cool it off and we were ready to go.

We said our goodbyes and left.

"Wow." Jeff was the first to speak.

"Agreed." Mike said.

"If you ever hide such a person from us again, I'll ban you from the campaigns, I swear." Eddie said.

I sat there, smiling, as they all started telling me how great Harmony is.

She really is one hell of a girl.
