Chapter 5

I'm going to try to post more regularly. I'm sorry. I hope you like this chapter. TBH I hate it but oh well.

" 'MORNING GREENIE!"

Argh, I must've fallen asleep. Too tired to open my eyes I groan, "Go awayy I want to sleep, wake me up later."

The person chuckled, "No sleepy head you have to get up now, you have a big day today, Alby has to give you the tour."

"Fine." I moan as I open my eyes, the sun shines brightly so I have to squint before I can open it fully. As I open my eyes more can I can see that the person is Newt. He reaches out for my hand I take it and he helps me up. "Good morning" I mumble.

" 'bout time you got up Alby got half the Glade looking for you, I think he though you went running of into the maze, seeing how you are so curious." Newt said in his cute British accent. "What are you doing in the forest anyway? Seems you go there a lot."

"Um I don't know I just like the calmness I guess," I said groggily, "I sorta know what you mean now when you said that you need a break from the Glade sometimes."

"Well you can't go to the forest that's my place." He said. I looked to the ground and sighed silently. I thought that me and Newt were become friends I guess not.

"Tommy, I was only joking." Newt chuckled, "You should of seen the look on your face. You didn't think I was actually serious did you?"

I blushed dark red, "sorta.."

"Aw Tommy that's adorable." He said with a giant grin on his face. "Of course you can go to the forest when you need to." He said, "I will even go with you if you want me to. Its always good to have someone to talk to, especially in the Glade when everything is so busy and stressful."

"Really? Thank you Newt."

"I guess the forest will be our place." He says with the cutest little smile on face. "Whenever one of us is in pain, pissed off, upset, sad, angry or just want to talk to someone they can go to the forest and as soon as the other person realises they have gone they will come to their need straight away no matter what, and let's promise that no matter what we will never ever tell anyone what we say to each other while we are in the woods. Promise Tommy?" Newt says excitedly.

It's so cute how excited he is by this, I don't think he has had anyone he can share his feelings to before and being in the Glade as long as Newt has would be hard, putting all this time and effort into his work only to get no answers. I've been upset because I haven't had my questions answered, but now I realise that Newt probably has some of the same questions and he must be feeling the same way I have been, except he's been feeling it for so much longer. How am I suppose to be able to survive what may be years before I get any answers, I could never do it. I am weak, Newt is strong and if I am going to survive I'm going to have to have Newt by my side.

"Okay." I reply with a big smile on my face. "I promise that I will come to you in the forest as soon as I know that you are there, I promise to keep all your secrets and never tell anyone else and I promise to be there for you Always, only if you do the same for me Newt."

"Always." He wraps his arm around me with a huge smile on his mouth. I can feel the warmth of his arm on my back, his skin is so soft like silk I want it to stay on me forever, but just as quickly as his arm flung around me it dropped back down to the ground, leaving a weird tingling sensation on my back.

"THERE YOU ARE GREENIE!" Alby shouts as he runs towards me, "I've been looking all over for you! I need to give you the tour!"

"Finally. Will you ask my questions now?" I said hopefully, I knew there wasn't much he could tell me about The Maze and why we were here but at least I would hopefully be able to find out what happens in the Glade and how close we are to solving the maze.

"Some." He replies, walking of and beckoning me towards him.

And with one smile at Newt I walk towards Alby.
