The next week became so far the best school time, I have ever had. Everyday I would walk home with Jade, Chris and Cale. And everyday we would walk past an old antiqueshop. Everyday Jade and I would stop to look at a beautiful ring. We agreed that we would buy it together. We would split the prize, we planned to buy it the last day of school. I quikly got to school, I even made a mini checklist.
"What are you writing?" Ty asked, he had snuck into my room without me noticing him.
"A checklist!" I smiled.
"Why?" He scratched his head.
"I've made a promise to my friend Jade! I need to remember these thing tomorrow!" I grinned.
"Oh alright!" Ty left the room, I looked up from my checklist, and looked after him. It was almost like he was my second brother. He acted like all the other girls at my school, said their brothers acted towards them. I sighed before continuing with my checklist. Next morning, I woke up before anyone did. I was out the door just as Dawn came down the stairs.
"Oh you are leaving?" She yawned.
"Yeah! Have a nice day Dawn!" I shouted to her as I got out the door.
"Bye Karen!"
I walked to the busstop, there I was greeted good morning, by a tired looking Chris
"Tired?" I asked looking at my checklist.
"Yeah didn't sleep very well..." He yawned.
A few minutes went by, then the skies started to cry. The raindrops fell on my cheaks as I looked up. Almost making it look like I was crying.
"You alright?" Jade's voice came from my right side. I turned my head to look at her. She had some kind of bruise on her cheak.
"Yeah... But are you? You have a giant bruise on your cheak!" I slowly whispered.
"I'm fine I had an accident, It doesn't hurt anymore... Don't worry, I'm fine!" She said cheerfully as always. But I somehow knew she was lying, something was wrong. Something in her eyes were not right, were not 'Fine', something in them was hurt. I turned to see a quiet Cale.
"Morning Cale!" I smiled.
"Hey Tia!" He smiled back to me.
Jade's hurt eyes were in my mind all day, I couldn't think of anything else. Not even when the teacher said goodbye to us. I was worried about her, all day she kept to herself. The others packed their stuff together, I just stared at Jade. She looked out the window, the skies were still crying. A single tear fell from her eye, before quikly rubbing her eyes.
"Hey Jade! Wanna walk home together? We can buy that ring we both wanted!" I smiled to her, she looked at me quikly putting on a smile.
