The Abduction

NCIS' arrival

Catherine and the rest of the team spent the whole night at the Headquarters. The next morning, Chin got a call from the Governor. He called to inform them that NCIS team had just arrived at the airport. Chin went to inform Catherine. "The NCIS team has just arrived to the airport", Chin said upon entering Cath's office. "Are we going to meet them there?", Catherine asked. "Yes. That's why i came here", Chin replied. Catherine stood up and went to her kids. "Jennifer, Jason, i want to tell you something", Cath said. The kids approached her. "Yes mommy", they said. "I will go to the airport with uncle Chin for a while. You will stay for aunt Kono for a while, ok?", Catherine said. "Yes mommy", the kids replied. Catherine hugged Jennifer and Jason and then she followed Chin to the car.

Upon arriving at the airport, Chin and Catherine went to the hangar where NCIS' private jet was parked. Kensie, Deeks, Sam and Callen were waiting. Chin and Catherine approached them. "Hey, it's good to see you again Chin", Sam said. "It's good to see you too Sam", Chin replied and gave his hand to Sam. "You must be Catherine, Steve's wife", Kensie said and looked at Cath. "Yes. And you must be Kensie", Cath replied. Kensie looked at Cath and smiled. "Yeah. Nice to meet you Cath.", she said. "Nice to meet you too", Cath replied. "Guys, let's go to the Headquarters and restart working on our case", Chin said. Sam and the rest of the team got in the cars and went to the headquarters.

Danny was searching for evidence, while Kono was playing with Jennifer and Jason. When Sam saw Danny, he smiled. "Hey Danny. It's good to see you again", Sam said. "Oh, hi Sam. Welcome to Hawaii again", Danny replied. "What kind of case do we have to work on this time?", Deeks said. "It's complicated, and plus, the case is connected with the Navy, so you are the first ones who are going to help us", Chin said. "Ok, what do we have?", Callen said. "It's simple. Steve hasn't appeared for 2 days and we are afraid. We think that something bad has happened to him", Kono explained. "Did you check the crime scene?", Kensie asked. "Yes. But we didn't find anything, except blood which belonged to Steve", Chin said. "Can we go and check the crime scene again?", Sam asked. "Yeah, of course", Catherine said. The team got ready and went to the McGarrett residense to check the crime scene again.

Callen and Sam checked the front part, while Deeks and Kensie checked the basement. After a while, they all went to Chin, who was waiting in the house. "Did you find anything?", Chin said. "Me and Callen didn't find anything", Sam said. "What about you guys?", Catherine asked and looked at Deeks and Kensie. "We found a fingerprint", Deeks said. "I will give it to Fong to check it out. Anything else?", Catherine said. "No, nothing", Callen said. The team headed back to the headquarters.

When the team got in the main room, they saw 3 strangers. "Excuse me, who are you?", Chin asked. "I am FBI agent Folley, and these are agents Chamberlain and Johnson, from the CIA", agent Folley said. "And what are you doing here?", Danny asked. "We learned that Commander McGarrett is missing, so we are taking the lead in the case", agent Johnson said. "This means that you will abandon it", agent Chamberlain added. "This is not going to happen", Catherine said. "We are not going to say it again. The case is ours", agent Chamberlain said. "Why would CIA and FBI take this case? Commander McGarret has vanished. We don't know if it's an abduaction or something else!", Sam said. "It doesn't matter agent. Commander McGarrett is a Naval officer and he knows many things that have to do with classified missions and identities of many agents", agent Johnson said. "This means that NCIS can also help on this case", Kensie said. "No way!", agent Folley said. "Fine, as you wish. But if you don't find my husband, you will have a big problem to deal with!", Catherine said. "Are you threatening us Lieutenant?", agent Folley said. Catherine approached him and looked at him angrily. "Consider it as a warning!", Catherine said. Then, Kensie and Callen intervened. "Come on Cath. Let them do their job. We don't have the permission to do our job", Kensie said and held Catherine. "Do your job agents. We will leave tonigh for Los Angeles", Callen said. The agents left the headquarters. Catherine was upset and angry. "Why did you do this?", she said and looked at Callen and Kensie. "You really think that we are going to abandon this case?", Callen said. "No, of course not", Cath replied. "Then, why you get angry? We are not going to leave. We have to figure out what happened to Steve", Kensie said. "Time to get back to work", Chin said. "Ok, let's do this", Catherine said. "No Cath. You won't help in the investigations. You have your kids to take care of. They need you right now. Steve is away, so you have to support them and tell them that everything will be ok", Kono said. "I will help Cath too", Danny said. "Thank you very much guys", Catherine said, having calmed down. "No need to thank us", Sam said.

The team got back to work, while Catherine and Danny were playing with Jennifer and Jason. In a week from now, a strange call was going to turn Cath's life into a nightmare.
