"Chris, come on. This is easy shit." Hanna shook her head.
"Not for me! I'm not good at english." Chris said.
"Your not good at anything." Matt said.
"Ok and when was i ever talking to you?" Chris asked.
Matt shrugged, walking into the living room.Right now, Chris and Hanna sat in the Sturniolo's kitchen, working on english.
"Ok so you have to write a poem. First, what subject is it gonna be about?" Hanna asked.
Chris shrugged slowly.
Hanna hit him in the arm.
"Ow! What the fuck Hanna!" Chris shouted.
"You need to get it together, Chris!" Hanna said.
"I can't. Like actually." Chris sighed.
Hanna sighed, pondering of what to do.
"I have someone!" Hanna grinned as she pulled out her phone and dialed the number.About 30 minutes later, The two heard a knock on the door.
chris ran over and opened the door, surprised to see Maeve standing there.
"Oh. Hey Chris!" Maeve smiled.
"Hi Maeve." Chris smiled at her.
"Maeve!" Hanna pushed him out of the way, embracing her in a hug.
"How have you been?" She asked.
"Holding in there." Maeve nodded.
"That's great, babes but Chris really needs your help." Hanna said, closing the front door and leading her into the kitchen.
"What's up?" Maeve asked.
"Chris has a poetry assignment and he needs help." Hanna said.
"Really? well, what's the poem gonna be about?" Maeve asked.
"Um...i don't know." Chris scratched the back of his head.
"Oh ok. Well, when is it due?" Maeve asked.
"In a month so i don't know why Hanna is making a big deal out of it." Chris said.
"But he gets extra credit if he hands it in early and he needs extra credit." Hanna added.
"Ok. That gives us time." Maeve said.
"Yeah. You guys can get to it. I'm gonna go get McDonald's." Hanna smiled, walking out.
"Oh."
"Uh...""Do you want something to drink before we get started?" Chris asked, opening the fridge.
"Just a water." Maeve replied.
Chris passed her a water as he sat down next to her.
"Your house is nice." Maeve said.
"Thanks. It's nothing too fancy." Chris shrugged.
"You have 2 brothers, right?" Maeve asked.
"Yeah, we're triplets but i have an older brother, Justin. He moved out tho. Do you have any siblings?" Chris said.
"Yeah, i have a younger sister, Maddy." Maeve nodded.
"Nice." Chris smiled.
"Yeah. She can get annoying but i don't know what i would do without her." Maeve said.
"Yeah, that's how i feel about my brothers." Chris agreed.
The two stared at each other for awhile, taking in each other's features. Chris thought she was the prettiest girl he had ever seen.
A small blush brushed over Maeve's cheeks as she tucked a piece of hair behind her ear.
"We should probably get started." Maeve said.
Chris cleared his throat, sitting up straight.
"Yeah, y-your right." Chris nodded in a agreement.Hanna walked back into the house, hearing laughter from the kitchen.
She walked in slowly, seeing Maeve and Chris sitting there, laughing and talking.
"So, you shit yourself in 4th grade because a 1st grader jumped out at you?" Maeve asked, in between laughs.
"It's not that funny." Chris rolled his eyes playfully.
"Im sorry. I'm sorry," Maeve apologized, grabbing a hold of his arm.
"My turn." She thought.
Hanna was still standing there, listening in on the two's conversation.
"In freshman year, i asked out this really cute boy but got rejected and as i was walking away from him, i tripped and fell flat on my face and everyone laughed." Maeve said.
Chris laughed.
"Now that's bad." He said, laughing loudly.
Maeve started to laugh with him. She had learned that Chris's laugh was very contagious.
"I know! I got made fun of all until Junior year." Maeve sighed.
"Who would say no to you?" Chris asked, looking up at her.
The two went silent as Chris thought about what he had just said. Maeve could tell he instantly regretted it.
"I don't know. I was pretty ugly." Maeve shrugged with a laugh.
Chris laughed too. He was grateful that she didn't make it weird.
"Seems like you guys are getting along." Hanna walked in.
The two looked at her.
"Hey Han!" Maeve waved.
"Hi Hanna." Chris smiled.
"What are you guys talking about?" She asked.
"They've been laughing at embarrassing stories of themselves for an hour now." Matt yelled from
the other room.
"It's funny." Chris defended.
"Yeah, but it is getting a little late. I should start to get home before it gets too dark." Maeve stood up, grabbing her bag.
"I'll walk you." Chris stood up with her.Once they got in front of his door, Maeve turned and looked up at him.
"I had a lot of fun with you, Chris." She smiled.
"Yeah, me too, Maeve." Chris smiled back.
"But you do need to get that assignment done. I can still help you if you want." She said.
"Yeah! That would be great! I mean-"
"Ok. I'll see you, Chris." Maeve giggled, walking away.
Chris watched as the girl walked down the street.
He genuinely did have a fun time talking to her and he wanted to get to know her more. The two seemed to have clicked in a way that Chris hadn't clicked with someone before. Maeve was different."He's different!" Maeve yelled.
"Maeve, you just broke up with Luke." Maddy said.
"I know and i'm not jumping into a relationship with this boy! He's just...nice." Maeve smiled to herself, remembering his laugh and his smile.
"Yeah, so was Luke when you first met him. This Chris kid could easily do the same thing Luke did." Maddy said.
"Chris isn't like Luke." Maeve shook her head.
"You didn't think Luke was like Luke either. I'm just saying you need to be careful. You just met Chris." Maddy said.
"I know. He probably doesn't even think i'm pretty. He's probably going out with someone or something." Maeve shrugged.
Just then, Hanna called."Hey Han!" Maeve smiled.
"Hiiiii!" Maddy ran over, waving at Hanna.
"Hi Maddy." Hanna smiled.
"What's up?" Maeve asked.
"Well, you know Chris?" Hanna grew a grin.
"Yeah." Maeve nodded.
"He wants your snapchat! To 'talk about the assignment' like your his tutor or something." Hanna rolled her eyes.
"Sure. Give it to him." Maeve smiled.
"You like him, don't you?" Hanna asked.
"No! I barely know him." Maeve shook her head.
"Yeah, but don't you think he's cute?" Hanna asked.
"Yeah. Sure." Maeve shrugged.
"Oh my god. You so think he's cute!" Hanna squealed.
"Yes, fine! I do!" Maeve gave in.
"Yay! You guys would make such a cute couple!" Hanna said.
"No. No way am i dating someone anytime soon. I just broke up with Luke like a week ago." Maeve shook her head.
"Fine. I just gave it to him and i'm going to bed." Hanna said.
"Ok. Night, love you!" Maeve smiled.
"Love you!" Hanna ended the call.
Right then, Maeve got a snapchat notification.Chris Sturniolo just added you as a friend.
