The week was a hard one but Maeve and Maddy spent ever waking moment together. Doing the things they loved to do as sisters. Bake, shop, watch movies, cook, go on walks, go out to eat, hang out with Chris, etc. but today was the day they needed to say goodbye to all of that till August.

Chris had just loaded the last of Maddy's luggage into the car as Maddy and Maeve were hugging.
"I can't believe your actually leaving." Maeve said. A tear rolled down her face.
"Me neither. But it's better for me and i see you in a month." Maddy smiled.
"That's all of it." Chris said.
"Come here, Mads." Caroline said.
Maddy walked over to her mother, getting squeezed almost to death by her mom.
Maeve had walked to Chris who put his arm around her.
"I love you, beautiful girl. Call me everyday." Caroline said.
"I love you mommy." Maddy said.
Caroline had tears in her eyes.
"Oh my god." She muttered, wiping her tears.
"Your gonna do great." She said.
"Thank you." Maddy smiled.

Maddy walked over to Chris next, giving him a hug.
"Have fun. Live it up, kid." Chris said, ruffling her hair.
"I'll see you in August, Chrissy." Maddy smiled.
"I'll see you, Mads. Don't get in too much trouble." Chris smiled.
Maddy laughed.
Maeve pulled Maddy into a tight hug.
"This is gonna be hard to watch you drive away." Maeve giggled.
"Yeah. Imagine being the one driving away." Maddy said.
Maeve laughed.
"Your the best little sister ever, Mads. I don't know what i'm gonna do without you. But i know your gonna have the best time and i can't wait to hear all about it." Maeve said, hugging her one more time.
"I love you forever, Maevey." Maddy smiled.
"I love for eternity." Maeve spoke.
"We need to leave." Cole said.
Maddy walked to the car, opening the door and climbing in.
She waved as the car pulled away.
Maeve dug her face into Chris's chest with tears.
"It's ok, Maevey." Chris rubbing her back.
"I'm gonna miss her so much." Maeve cried.
"I know. I'm gonna miss her too." Chris said.
He gestured to Caroline to join the hug. She did.
Wrapping her arms around her daughter and Chris.
The two cried. Chris even shed a tear or two.

Maeve spent the rest of the day looking at a ton of baby pictures of Maddy and her and she probably texted Maddy's phone 10 times in the 3 hours she's left.
Right now, Maeve laid her head on Chris's chest.
"Do you want ice cream to make you feel better?" Chris asked.
"Yes." Maeve nodded.
Chris laughed, standing up and grabbing Maeve's arms, pulling her up from the couch.
"I feel empty." Maeve spoke.
"I'm sorry, Maeve." Chris placed his hands on her cheeks.
"Thanks for being here for me, Chris." Maeve smiled.
"I would never let you go through this alone." Chris shook his head.
"How did i get so lucky?" Maeve asked.
"I don't know. Maybe you wished on a shooting star." Chris smiled.
"I love you." Maeve giggled.
"I love you more." Chris placed a kiss on her lips before the two left the house.

They walked all the way to a rita's. They talked, laughed, and smiled.
"I needed this, Chrissy." Maeve said.
"I know. Me too." Chris nodded.
"So, are you excited to start college?" Chris asked.
"No but i'm glad it's local. It's just easier. I can stay with you and i get to stay with my mom." Maeve said.
"Yeah." Chris smiled.
"How's your youtube going?" Maeve asked.
"Great! We're about to hit 10k. Isn't that insane?" Chris said with a huge smile.
"Not really. You and your brothers are lovable people. I'm so proud of you guys for finding a passion. You deserve everything." Maeve said.
"Maybe you could be in a few videos." Chris suggested.
"Yeah, i would love to! Cameras love me." Maeve wiped her hair dramatically.
"I know they do." Chris smiled.
The two laughed.
"I'm glad this worked out." Maeve said.
"what?" Chris asked.
"Us. Your my favorite person." Maeve smiled.
"Yeah, i am too." Chris smiled at her.
"I have something for you." Chris spoke again, digging in his pocket.
Maeve furrowed her eye brows with a confused expression.
"Here." Chris handed her a piece of folded paper.
"What is this?" Maeve laughed.
"Just read it." Chris said.
Maeve unfolded it and did as he said.
It was the poem that Chris had wrote and it was about her.

The two spent the night, walking around, talking all night. They both so grateful to have each other in their life. Maeve was Chris's person and Chris was hers. They were soulmates and Maeve knew that Chris was her reward after all the pain and heartbreak. Her dad leaving, her first boyfriend, Luke, Maddy leaving. Chris was what she was waiting for. Chris was her savior. The love of her life. Chris was quite literally the rainbow after Maeve's storms. She loved him like no other.

my person.
By Christopher Sturniolo.

Love is used for many things.
It's used as a word, an action, a feeling or emotion.
I try my best to love as much as i can.
But there's that one person i love more than anyone else.
The person that keeps me awake at night thinking about, the person that can make me laugh but can also bring me to tears.
The person that understands me the most.
The person who i can talk to for hours.
The person i'll always love until death.
My person.

The end.
