Meh to rip.

I mean, there are quite a few fanfics about this.

I guess if Ron wasn't a protagonist or he wasn't really in the picture, it could be a kinda slow burn opposites attract romance. I guess?

Because she's an intellectual, goody two shoes, and they're the naughty jokers that muck around and are generally up to no good, and none of it very intelligent.

So, in an AU, I guess maybe I could stand it.

But canonically, I just don't think it would work very well because Hermione treats Fred and George with shaky respect and barely contained disapproval. She is also romantically inclined and pushed towards Ron, yes, because they are opposing, but also because they are quite similar.

They are both fiercely loyal until the end. They are both utterly stubborn when it comes to their opinions. They both cannot let an argument go (Order of the Phoenix proved that pretty well, lol).

And also, Ron always notices Hermione. Whether he's teasing her, or just randomly commenting, or knowing something about her. He knows her schedules, her likes, dislikes. He cares about her and her activities. And I think that's one of the reasons she loves him.

Don't get me wrong, I love Fred and George, but I feel like they're romantic in very different ways. Like Ron cares and notices, they might comfort and cheer someone up with a cheesy joke or silly prank.

And while I feel like Hermione would appreciate that, their utter lack of interest or their lack of feigning to be interested or at least aware of the topics she is interested in would probably frustrate her immensely.

So, yeah.
