Your pov

I was in science class paired with robin we're doing an experiment and we both do not know what we're doing right now.

"So y/n, tonight billy is gonna walk with you if  that's alright?" Robin asked.

"I barely know the boy." I said.

"Yeah and? You two can get to know each other within however long it is from your house to the game." Robin said. I stared at him blankly.

"Cmon y/n pleaseeee. He really wants to be friends with you." Robin said convincingly.

"And I wanna be friends too with him but I feel like your forcing him."

"Why would you think that?" He said.

"Because your asking not him?..." I said.

"Fine." Robin said walking over to billy.

Robins pov

"Hey billy.." I said interrupting his and his partners conversation.

"What do you want Robin?"

"Y/n said that you have to ask her if you wanna walk with her cause apparently I'm forcing you." I said.

"Thats because you are forcing me Robin." He said.

"Dont be that dramatic billy."

"Fine I'll ask her." Billy said walking over.

"So what we doing?" I asked Billy's pair looking at him confused. He just walked away from me. Rude.

Billy's pov

"You need help?" I asked as y/n looked at me.

"Oh yeah thanks. Also whatever Robin said to you, you don't have to do it. I know what it's like to be pressured." She said. That's comforting.

"Oh no its fine, I mean you don't have to do it." I said.

"Do what?" She asked.

"Walk to the game with me." I said.

"Oh right the game, I'm fine with walking with you. If your ok with it." She said.

"Yeah I'm okay with it."

"Great I'll see you later then." She said.

"Yes! See you later." I said walking away after.

Robins pov

"So?"

"Yes we're walking together now can you go?" Billy said.

"Yesss- I mean well done see you at the game." I said walking away.

I was smiling at y/n.

"Why are you smiling like that." She asked.

"Nothing." I said.

At home

"So mom there's a baseball game tonight can I go?" I asked her.

"With who your imaginary friend?" My older brother chuckled.

"Are you going on your own?" My mom asked.

"No I am going with a friend." I said.

"What's her name?" She asked.

"His name is billy." I said.

"A boy!? No way. I'm not allowed to be friends with girls why is she allowed to be friends with boys." My brother said.

"Please mom his friend group are the only people I met today." I begged.

"Fine but please make a friend that is a girl." My mom said.

"Yes I will thank you." I said going up to my room.

'What am I gonna wear??' I think to myself.

Yeah whatever. I get dressed and sit and watch tv till billy comes.

"Your going to a game y/n not a club." My brother said.

"Shut up." Then there was a knock.

I got up and saw billy.

"Hey billy." I said.

"Hey y/n you look nice, you ready?" He asked.

"Yeah I'm ready." I said.

"This is the boy your going with? That's embarrassing y/n." Your brother said.

"Stop being so rude b/n, please ignore him. Tell mom I left." I said.

"Yeah yeah. Go."

I shut the door as we started to walk.

"I'm very sorry for my brother he's a dickhead." I said.

"Your good, if I moved I couldn't be happy. Did you like it where you last lived."

"I mean it was fine but I don't know I don't think I ever will after what happened." I said.

"Yeah.. Do you wanna know something?" He said.

"Sure go ahead." I said.

"I'm a paperboy." He said.

"Really?" I asked.

"Yep I go on my bike with my dog every morning with newspapers and throw em'. Just for the money though. My family is struggling a bit with money." He said.

Oh.

"Oh I'm sorry here." I take out $100 and pass it to him.

"Oh no I couldn't keep it." He said putting my hand away.

"Please I insist. I don't need the money right now." I said.

"Please y/n I really don't." He said.

I take his hand and put the money in. He finally gives in as we finally made it to the pitch.
