No wonder they say "waiting for death is worse than death itself." Having sent the portfolio, you definitely did not expect that time would slow down at least by half: the days began to seem unbearably long and, afraid of missing something, you checked your mail almost every five minutes. Emptiness. There was no reply letter. A WHOLE WEEK. You had to suffer for a whole week when the notification finally came to you on Sunday. You were happier than ever before, despite the fact that you were still not completely sure that you were accepted. But, to your great happiness, yes, you were. Now you are officially one of the employees at the pizzeria.
The thing that also caught your attention was the mail address. " PhonE_GuY1987@ ****" .What an interesting person might be the human behind that.
"...
Hello?Hello-hello! Hi! Welcome to the FazBear Entertainment! We are happy to welcome You to our little group of night-guards! You will be working with a six-person group. Guess what? All are men! Yeah, hope you won't get too uncomfortable! By the way ,I must warn you, this job is not that easy! There are risks of you being killed, but I'm sure you know that already!
Anyway, it is nice to have someone new in the gang!
See you TOMORROW night! You can get your uniform in the Boss's office tomorrow at 10 pm.
Good Luck!"
Was written after the official part of the letter. Six-men crew, huh? Well, it definitely is already getting interesting. But you've never thought about the part of insurance covering your death as more than a safety precaution! But you shook off the thought of that and decided going to sleep as it was getting closer to midnight. You woke up feeling as if a big truck has run you over numerous times. For some reason you got the most ridiculously annoying migraine. The feeling almost resembled a pretty bad hangover. Cool. The first day, or, should I say night, at a new job and you already feel like trash. Great, just great. And, the most exciting part was that with your prescription you could not take any pain-killers. The suffering must begin!
You forced yourself out of the bed and started getting ready for the day. Deciding what to wear you remembered that a cool outfit is actually pointless because in the end you will have to change anyway. Grabbing your giant black warm hoodie and sweatpants of the same color you made your way to the bathroom. A quick shower made your head less foggy and the headache calmed down a bit.
You made a decision to at least get familiar with the place of your now full-time job to at least not get lost in there and not to create awkward situations. You took a bus to the place, which took you approximately 15 minutes. For some reason you did not even hear about this place until you found the job offering. PRETTY SUSPICIOUS if you ask me, considering the fact that you live not that far from it.
The place was fairly big: a two-story building with red brick walls, which were covered in the paintings of various, as you made a guess, animatronics or mascots of the company. The parking lot for personnel looked rather empty except for a mini-van parked in the very corner and a bike strapped to the fence at the entrance. You noticed a guy standing in the smoking area near the dumpsters: not very tall, approximately 5'5 or 5'6,blonde, had a tattooed neck,a few piercings on the lip and on the eyebrow, rather lean in terms of physique, wearing an apron of some sort. He looked rather young for the age that was required here. But who knows, looks might be deceiving. He was holding a cigarette in between his fingers. You went up to him and waved in front of his face, as he had his eyes closed and was wearing big old-looking head-set. He opened one eye and smiled.
-Well,hello there!-He said, taking off the headphones.-What brought you here? We aren't opened yet and, frankly speaking, you don't look like you have a kid with you or at all.
-Oh, I...Uh...-Speaking to people outside the internet boundaries got a lot more difficult.- I guess I work here now. I just got accepted yesterday so I thought maybe I can look around a bit before my first shift...-You started nervously fidgeting.-Is it possible?
-Oh,sorry then, honeypie. I am not one of the guards. Name's Chris!-The guy held out his hand.-But sure, you can look around if you want.-you shook his hand. Your hands looked awkwardly small in comparison with his.
-Y/N, nice to meet you,Chris...-You mumbled as the man started snickering to himself.
-It's nice to have fresh meat around!-He squeezed your palm. You blushed slightly and smiled back at him.-Do you mind?-He pointed out the cigarette in his hand.
-Oh, no, please, enjoy your smoke to the fullest!- You blurted out, laughing nervously.
Finishing the cigarette he took one last deep drag and smiled, putting it out in the snow under your feet. He just seems like a ray of sunshine for some reason. You started getting cold and both of you walked inside.
-Well, the locker room is in the north wing at the end of the second floor, but it would be nice if you used a map or something. I still am not sure about where everything is in here.- He awkwardly put a hand on the back of his neck, smiling shyly.
-Thanks. By any chance, is anybody else here? Some guy who sent an email said something along the lines that I'd have to work with six other people. I already met you, so I guess it makes the other five left.-You said, taking off your coat.
-Actually, the man who send you the letter is here, but, to be honest, I have no idea where he is in the building. He usually shows up at like five or six pm.-Chris laughed.-But you might run into him at one point or another. We still have plenty of time before the "night-shifters" come anyway.
-Okay, going to keep that in mind. Thanks again. And sorry for being so awkward.-You put up the nicest smile you could possibly squeeze out of yourself at that moment.
-No worries, honeypie. It's not like I am any better. Okay, run along now.
You waved at him, still smiling. You had a secret hope that he can actually be your friend. He just seemed so down to earth and chill. Also, he is as awkward as you are so it is a definite plus. While you were going up the stairs you caught a glimpse of Chris dancing with a broom with his headphones on. The man is a rock-star, what can I say. You snickered to yourself and continued your way upstairs.
The place is creepy: the corridors are dark and long with a few doors, leading into the offices and restrooms. You finally found a sign that showed that the locker room exactly where Chris said it would be. You walked in quietly as if afraid of someone actually being in there. But it was empty. As expected. You took off your backpack and put it into one of the open lockers together with the coat. You changed into some sneakers and locked the it.
You decided to wander around a bit before everybody else would show up.It is going to be a long day AND night.CHAPTER 2
