- Chapter 8: (The Birthday Celebration)

- Dam-i's POV:
As I am practicing my archery skills, someone suddenly comes up behind me as I pull back the arrow on the bow.

"Even your shoulders And widen your stance.", I hear a boy say as they grab my shoulders and move my foot back.

"Who are you?", I say as I quickly turn around and point my arrow at the person's neck.

'Wait... Is that Haeun?!', I think as I look at the person in front of me with confusion.

Once I realize that Haeun is in front of me, I start to put my arrow down as she looks at me with confusion, but then I notice a boy standing beside Haeun.

I quickly point my arrow at his neck.

"Who are you?", I say once more as the boy looks startled.

"It's me, Hyun.", The boy says as I keep my arrow pointed at his neck.

"Hyun?", I ask in confusion.

'I can't trust anyone... They could kill me at any second', I think as I see Bok-dong come running towards us.

- Haeun's POV:

'Why is Hwi still pointing that arrow at Hyun? Hyun could get hurt!', I think as I start to grab Hwi's arrow, that is until I saw Bok-dong gasp and run towards us.

'Seeing how shocked Bok-dong looks, this must be more serious than it looks.', I think as Bok-dong finally makes it to where we are.

"What's going on? You two aren't training together, are you?", Bok-dong asks as he looks Hyun.

"What? Does it look like training to you?", Hyun asks.

"Well, since the Prince's good cousin, Prince Jaeun, is here, I'll get some refreshments right away.", Bok-dong says.

'Why did he just say Hyun's title? He's never said that before...', I think as I look at Hwi who still has his arrow pointed at Hyun.

"No. Don't worry about it.", Hyun says.

"I'm sorry. I may have been out of line with my prank.", Hwi says as he pulls the arrow by his side.

'It was a prank?! I don't believe it... It seemed to real. Maybe his sickness is worse than I thought...', I think worryingly.

"By the way, what brings you guys here?", Hwi asks me and Hyun, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Isn't it obvious? Your birthday is fast approaching. So I came to ask what you'd like me to give you for a gift. I assume it's the same for Haeun.", Hyun says, looking over at me as I widen my eyes.

'Oh no! I forgot about Hwi's birthday!!!! I need to hurry and find him a gift...', I think as I look at Hwi.

"My birthday?", Hwi asks with confusion.

'It seems Hwi forgot too.', I think as I start to laugh.

"Hey, why are you laughing?", Hyun asks me.

"Hwi forgot about his birthday, but i did too!", I say as Hyun starts to laugh too, along with Hwi.
